IEM - Similar to IE8's but with more foward vocals. Any suggestions?
I think what I'm looking for is the warmest BA IEM that has ergonomics similar to the IE8 (shallow fit, doesn't stick out, good cable). That's probably the most concise, least confusing way to put it. Sorry for all the confusion I've caused. Naming a thread "Similar to IE8s" and then...- chopstxxx

IEM - Similar to IE8's but with more foward vocals. Any suggestions?
This was actually my initial plan but from what I've read the IE7 has less treble extension than the IE8. I'm pretty happy with the treble from the IE8s, anything less seems like I would be losing some detail. Do you think the treble is pretty similar between the IE8 and IE7? Maybe I'll...- chopstxxx

IEM - Similar to IE8's but with more foward vocals. Any suggestions?
In your defense I did title my thread "Similar to IE8s" . I guess by similar I mostly mean laid back and musical with a shallow fit and a good, non-microphonic cable. Not looking so much to replicate the frequency response of the IE8s. Quote:- chopstxxx

Wow not the answer I was hoping for haha. So you mean after my years of Monster bashing I may actually need to buy something they make Here's my concern with the MTPGs (aside from the massive crow sandwich I'd have to eat): are they different enough from the sound of the IE8? These are...- chopstxxx

Hey Everyone, I recently got a pair of IE8's (refurbs from adgtron on Amazon) and am very happy with them for most music. In particular the things I like about them are: - Laid back sound signature, never harsh or sibilant - Very full, lush, and musical while still having a good...- chopstxxx

Most Comfortable Headphones?
I would go with the Beyer DT880s as well. I definately find them more comfortable than the Senn HD650s or AKG K701s. Still haven't tried the Denon D2000s though which seem to get rave comfort reviews.- chopstxxx

Low Profile Horseshoe Mini-Mini Cable
I'm trying to avoid right angle plugs isnce I want to keep things slim as well (don't want the cable extending outside of the stack) and don't want to interfere with the volume knob or headphone jack. -
Low Profile Horseshoe Mini-Mini Cable
Hey everyone, I am looking for the lowest profile mini-mini IC to connect my iMod 4G and Mini^3 which are stacked together. I need a horseshoe shaped IC that hopefully sticks out as little as possible. I am currently using an APureSound mini-mini which is about 5 inches tip to tip so it...- chopstxxx

Lineouts: 4th gen iMod vs iPod Classic
If you're listening critically the difference is pretty noticable. I was testing with a Mini^3 and my HD650's. With the Classic everything is a bit muddier and the veil is more appearent. With the iMod I don't really notice any veil. I don't personally believe that the HD650's are veiled, just...- chopstxxx

Lineouts: 4th gen iMod vs iPod Classic
I did this comparison this weekend and found the 4 gen iMod to be cleaner and clearer. The instrument seperation and soundstage is a bit better on the iMod. The Classic sounds a bit muddy compared to the iMod. For me however the battery life and hard drive size of the Classic outweigh the SQ...- chopstxxx

Which amp & interconnect <200$ for a poor student T_T
How about the Mini^3. Rockhopper sells it for $125 shipped with a charger and I believe MisterX sells it for about the same. Get the Low Gain (2) version and it should work great with your e500s.- chopstxxx

Best portable amp/cables for my setup
I also got my mini^3 from Rockhopper Audio and have nothing but good things to say about the service. Since you listen to mostly rock I'd suggest the SR225s which you can get for $175. For $300 bucks I think you'd have much better all around rig than the TH and SR60s. The only downside to this...- chopstxxx

Best portable amp/cables for my setup
For the Grado SR-60's it seems like the Hornet or TH would be overkill. I'd suggest getting a Mini^3 for $125 and using the savings to move up the Grado line.- chopstxxx

Mister X is building me a Mini 3!
I've got one with a gain of 2 and its driving my HD650s fine, although I don't listen too loud. I'm at about 11 o'clock. I'll go almost to 12 when I crank it up.- chopstxxx
