Yes i read that review last week before i got mine. i'm not using an amp and am mostly using them straight from my sony s638 and my samsung stick player and they are perfectly loud enough with good warmth and punch,Even a fiio will enhance the sound a tad but it doesn't make a huge difference...

Speaking of sealed coppers, i had mine today sealed from a reputable company and i've no reason to doubt they are not the real deal but i do have a real shortage of medium tips only two sizes of black supertip and certainly nowhere near the amount i've seen in many reviews.
