Audeze - MM-Series - MM-500
Update: I am really happy to report Audeze is sending out a replacement band free of charge. Delighted as a long-time customer they are taking ownership of this issue. Let’s hope we don’t see this happen again with the next one :)- sirocco

Audeze - MM-Series - MM-500
I am sad to report i have been getting more and more hairline/stress fractures on the plastic connector between the drivers and rods. Today, it eventually gave and broke down. I hope Audeze can work with me and offer a solution, as this seems to have just happened from daily normal wear/tear and...- sirocco

Introducing the Audeze MM-500!
The mids felt a -little- shotty to me at first but after some break in they definitely have settled in and averaged out more. I couldn’t imagine using a different headphone now. They just walk a perfect line between clinical and entertaining for me. I am boost the low end by 3db with a shelf via...- sirocco

Introducing the Audeze MM-500!
One thing I wanted to note that I am loving about the MM-500s lately. Every song, I can find some type of earworm motif that just puts a grin on my face and causes me to latch onto it infectiously. It just a great level of immersion.- sirocco

Updates on my systemwide SoundID calibration as of right now: -Only correcting under 1.3k using LCD-X (original rev) profile -Low end shelf boost around 3.5 DB at ~250hz -Linear phase -100% mix I feel above 1.3k doesnt need any EQ, it just sounds so good to me.- sirocco

Audeze - MM-Series - MM-500
I can't go back to my LCD-Xs. They just sound flat, boring and lifeless to me for most of the music I happen to listen to. I feel so disconnected from the music with them. The MM-500s are truly alive and a gem to behold. My ears have fully gotten used to the headband or it has stretched out...- sirocco

I agree. Each songs sonic fingerprint is really apparent with these. I -definitely- can’t focus those details with lcd lcd-x or hd800s- sirocco

Definitely a different beast. I don't need another headset with a large soundstage like that to be honest. I am happy to be able to swap both pairs on and get a fresh perspective for my listening and work.- sirocco

I get the same exact feeling. The music swirls around my head, as if I am in the middle of an intimate performance. Otherworldly! My LCD-Xs also sound like "a few rows back" to me.- sirocco

I've been doing it a bit for almost a week now, I have notice some improvement. This might also just be my body getting used to them and organic break-in on top of this.- sirocco

Introducing the Audeze MM-500!
Thoughts after 2 weeks. These headphones are just insanely transparent. I can hear every imperfection, almost to a fault for the casual listener. On the flip side, I have never been more confident in my mixing work on headphones. My work is translating to various systems a lot more predictably...- sirocco

The only negative experience I have had so far with these phones are the clamp fatigue. At first, it was ok, but over time its taken a toll on my ears, where they feel extremely sensitive to touch and irritated after about a 10-15 min session.- sirocco

The slam with a 3.5 db low end shelf lift is amazing. It's extremely stable, coherent , and accurate all while giving you that raw, visceral excitement that you want from it.- sirocco

Introducing the Audeze MM-500!
I gotta say, I really feel connected with the music in an intimate way with the mm-500s over the lcd-x. The sounds seem to 'swirl' around me in a more immersive way. The bass and transients are a solid more solid, punchy and stable. Each song i listen to from a different mix engineer delivers a...- sirocco

Audeze - MM-Series - MM-500
Just got them in today and rushed to Sonarworks to find something that worked well with it. I landed on LCD-X (original rev) with a +5/-1 tilt until they have a native profile for it. This gives a beautiful low end shelf boost of 3db and a bit of 1db shelf of air towards the high end. Truly...- sirocco

Audeze Yoke Rods
Hello. I recently purchased some LCD-Xs that were certified factory refurbished. They are perfect but had a small question. The yoke rods seem to refuse to stay in place where I set them. After a few minutes of wearing the phones per the manual, one side usually changes notches. I tried to...- sirocco

Apogee Groove vs Audioquest Dragonfly Red
Hello all! I am interesting in these two, but besides a small snippet of a review which states the Red performs better, does anyone have any first hand experience on comparing these two? For my desktop rig I have a Fireface UCX -> Violectric V800 -> -> SPL Phonitor -> Sennheiser HD800s. ...- sirocco

Looking to "upgrade" to a Phonitor Amp from a HPAV200. Some questions!
Hello all! My current set is Output UA Apollo -> DAC V800 -> HPA V200 -> HD800 Now, I heard a lot of great remarks about the Phonitor, and how it is an amazing crossfeed / room space emulation. I dig this and wanted to incorporate it into my setup to help prevent ear fatigue when...- sirocco
