Removing noise-cancelling unit on sony earphones...
Model: Sony MDRNC22 earphones Is it possible to remove the unit, so that the earphones can be used without the noise-cancelling block on the wire (which is unnecessarily bulky when noise-cacelling is off)? [Yes, it seems silly, but this is what I'd like to do, even if it has to be a...- wildwildebeest

Etymotic ER6i
I've got 'em Cost me just under £50 and they look great, though a couple of the tips are slightly twisted... So far they seem good but haven't listened to them in a noisy environment yet - got a flight tomorrow with which to do that. Isolation seems, as far as I can tell, to be pretty similar...- wildwildebeest

which isolating earphones?
Already posted this (or similar) but in the wrong place... I'm after something that'll block out plenty of unwanted noise (ie planes, cars) and have considered a few such as the CX300, Shure e2c, crossroads mylarone xb and Ety er6i. So far the Etymotic headphones are top of the list...- wildwildebeest

Which earphones for blocking out noise?
I'm after a slightly better set of earphones, ones which will block out unwanted noise, especially from planes & cars. As I don't want anything too bulky I think I am probably looking at in-ear earphones, especially as they seem to be better than headphones for the same price. Thinking of...- wildwildebeest
