Ultimate Ears Triple.Fi 10 Pro Recable

If you sand down the pins a bit(diameter not length), they fit just fine without the stretching

IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING

I'm sure they could resolder the wires to the stock connector no problem. But if you change them over to the other style connector that most customs(UE,Westone, etc) use then they have to solder it to the new connector. So if the problem is what you're describing then yes you could easily get it...

    High-end IEM vs High-end speakers

Apples to oranges comparissons, but you were asking in particular about the comparing headphones to the top end of speakers(wilsons, Genesis, Magnepan 20's,etc) and there really is no comparison. In all the measureable ways speakers win, freq range flatness etc. And true imaging and depth of...

UE Triple Fi 10s do I need to run in???

A cable swap will not change the amount of bass coming out of your Triple.fi's. It seems to me that you just like the 5's sound signature better. They have more bass than the 10's not better or cleaner, but of a greater amount, especially in the lower midbass region.

IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING

No it doesn't seem like it will. Artwork on my FreQ's has rubbed off a little but I'm thinking that they were not clearcoated. These seem to be a lot more durable

IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING

The gold does have a texture to it(sparkle). And in person it does look like it's indented but it is smooth to the touch which means that the art was probably covered with a clear coat after being applied.

IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING

Got my TF10's back today. It has been a very good experience overall, but there are a few issues but I plan on getting them fixed(this is the nature of customs). This is my third pair of customs and the build quality is just as good if not better than the others(FreQ's & Livewires). My only...

IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING

I'll have mine tomorrow and take pics. They are TF10's made with molds made from my FreQ's.

IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING

Has no one else got them for free from costco. I've had them do two pair for, free of charge.

The FreQ Custom IEMs - Impressions Thread (Updates on First Page!)

Just to let the people know who need repairs on their freq's or any custom IEM for that matter. I had to get mine recabled and sent them to HY. They took care of it sent them back good as new, can't tell they've been taken apart. They are they only place that was willing to help me out, and they...

The FreQ Custom IEMs - Impressions Thread (Updates on First Page!)

Yes it did Headphoneaddict, thanks. As for it being covered under warranty...no it won't be. But take it from someone who had his FreQ's repaired by FreQ twice, it was never free then either. I'm just glad that a company is willing to step up and help with the situation, a lot of companies won't...

The FreQ Custom IEMs - Impressions Thread (Updates on First Page!)

I thought that some people would be interested to know that I've contacted hearyourself.com in my search for a company to rewire my Freqshows and they said that they would be happy to. Also they also said that they would quote "repair any of The Freq monitors and also take over there support...

A quick update. I've found that hearyourself.com will fix my problem and also provide support and repair for any other freq customers that are having trouble getting freq to support their product. If you need anything fixed or just have questions, email or call them.

IE8 - Anyone else like to see a mic/playback control cable option?

I deffinatly would be interested. After having the mic/control on the cable it's very irritating to me to go back to taking out my iPhone to switch songs or pause/answer a call.

Who can fix custom IEM's: Freq problem

Since Freq is not answering their phone or emails, I'm forced to look elsewhere for a solution to my problem. My cable on my SuperFreq's was damaged, the negative wire was pulled out of the left earphone so that it no longer functioned, I tried cutting open the cable to see how far the break was...

    Iphone compatible

Volume adjustment is not possible on the 3g with out some inline adjuster of sometype that would attenuate the signal. So pretty much you are left with as much control as the stock buds offer. For better sounding replacements you have quite a few options. The ones that stand out are the models...

The FreQ Custom IEMs - Impressions Thread (Updates on First Page!)

Yeah, they were broken by my kids. They are demolished. I thought it was 20 or 25 % but on their site right now it states 60% which I'm almost positive is not what I was originally quoted, but they don't send you any paper work with the headphones that states the terms of that warranty. I'm just...

The FreQ Custom IEMs - Impressions Thread (Updates on First Page!)

I have some bad news, my Freqs have been broken. Luckily for me I bought the replacement warranty, but as I checked the website it says that it covers 60% of the original cost. I've searched on these forums to see if I'm remembering this correctly, but it seems to me that when I bought that...

What in-the-ear phones to use with Apple iPhone?

I've done the shure route, and I wouldn't recommend it. Way too much cord to deal with and the button is so far away that you have to keep the whole cord out to be able to use it. Go custom and you won't regret it, except maybe the bill.

    Freq's for iPhone

You don't have to, but I highly recommend you do, I feel that you get a better fit if you do. As for turn around time, I would think that you're right around two weeks or a little longer right now, but I could be wrong. If you call them up and ask they'll let you know what their turn around time...

LIVEWIRES PURCHASERS (NOT JUST OWNERS!) - Did you Keep? Refit? Return?...

I returned mine because I didn't like the compromise had to make to use them with my iPhone and my requests to have the cable down with the mic was never responded to. I couldn't stand using a mic adapter cable to keep that functionality.
