Versatile unamped (for now) headphones around 100 €
Hi all, I've owned a pair of HD201 for more than 3 years, but they're quite damaged now and I need an upgrade. I'm currently listening from the integrated soundcard (Realtek HD889A), but I'm planning to buy a decent card or even an USB DAC maybe. I truly listen to everything, from ambient...- Pugaciov

Upgrading from Sennheiser HD 201 (general purpose, rock and metal)
Thanks again for your suggesions. But please do not get me wrong here: sounding good with rock isn't my priority, also because I truly listen to everything, believe me. My priority is general detail and soundstage.- Pugaciov

I'm bumping the thread, asking if, in your opinion, the AKG K 240 Studio would be any good for me. Thanks in advance.- Pugaciov

Upgrading from Sennheiser HD 201 (general purpose, rock and metal)
Hi all, I'm new here. I've been owing these HD 201 for more than 2 years now and I'm quite happy with them, especially considering their price, but I definetely want an upgrade. I think I should look for general purpose headphones, since I'll use them in a variety of situations: watching...- Pugaciov
