i have the sony xba 4 iems, i am looking at amps but none support  8 ohms.    Is 8 ohms harder to drive than 16 ohms?   i thought 8 was less impedence than 16, but then i read that my 2000 ohm sennheiser headphones are hard to drive, so im confused. 

not much very easy to pop open, they sound much the same with the bass screw and attached bit of plastic removed, the hole is covered insid with a bit of foam, which looks ok, and is even thinner now for head sideways on pillow. pic also shows the shell was crushing the cable.

I have thought many times about buying ciem's, but dont want to be locked into a totally sealed and pressurised environment. sometimes I prefer a slightly shallower and less pressurised environment. I probably would like the fit and comfort of a ciem, but at least I have the ability to adjust...

where to buy 70mm foam earpads. Bought some from china but the face of the pads was very thick, which took the drivers away from the ear. Best ones I swapped a few years ago were off cheap sony tv phone. Have emailed sony but no response, cheers

check out parralox if you can find it. Its a guy / girl duo. sweet vocals and interesting synth. Its more electro pop than trance. Very interesting for headphone listening, well recorded, Good reviews on the net.... cheers
