I'm expecting the FXA7 sometime this week.  There are a few vendors in the US that have some of the models in stock.  Depends on which model/color you are looking for.  Adorama camera in NY seems to have a number of them in stock.

This has been covered in a nunber of threads... That being said, the 3GS SQ is better than the 3G. With ALAC (or even iTunes Plus 256AACs) the 3GS is the cleanest, most-detailed DAP I have used (headphone out). If you do not need the phone functionality, the new iPod touches have great SQ too...

HP-out on the new (3G) Touch is on par with the excellent iPhone 3GS. I have not gotten a chance to play with the line-out, but I would assume that it scales well. FWIW, I found the 4G nano to have mediocre SQ at best. Soundstage was very narrow and detail was lost in the top and bottom ends...

I am finding that the 64GB touch has similar SQ to the iPhone 3GS. For those that do not know, this is a GOOD thing. High quality files (256AAC or ALAC) direct from the headphone out to JH13s sound quite good. I would guess they used the same (or similar) DAC as the 3GS.

I'll put my 3GS with headphone out (with JH13s) in a very close race with any of my iPods (nano, Classic 160GB, 5.5G Video) with a P-51 Mustang and lossless files. The soundstage on the unamped 3GS is amazing and the detail in the extreme highs and lows is very close to those from the P-51.

I asked this exact question of Jerry a month ago when I was at JHA. In short, the JH11 was put into the line to correct the "wrong" (my language) that was done to Jerry's original UE11 design/tuning shortly after he sold the company. Offering the line does not really cost JHA additional money...

I'd kill for a JH13 with Applie in-line remote. Even a small in-line remote extension cable would be wonderful -- could swap out one of the smaller, 18" cables that JHA is having made for use with remotes and BT receivers.
