Is it ok to get a walkman e seris case for the s seris?
I wouldn't think so, mainly because the S series is slightly longer at the bottom than the E series.- insicor

Samsung YP-Q1 JEB vs. Sony NWZ S638
The Q1 is just a cheap version of the P2 with weirder controls. Get the Sony.- insicor

What's your primary usage? If mostly video then get the Archos. If you want music with some video than the Cowon.- insicor

Either Very Unlucky or Bad QC, Archos 5
I still think the Archos 5 is the best PMP out there, provided you can get one that works properly. My 605 has rampant niggling issues, like random shut-offs and files not transferring properly.- insicor

Sony S638 vs Iriver Clix 2 vs Samsung YP-P2
Have never tried the Clix so I won't comment on it, but both the S638 and P2 are awesome, but as someone said the P2 is about to be replaced. I think the P2/3 is a better overall product and more well rounded with a whole lot of neat features, but the S638 is definitely better for music.- insicor

Any Zune owners out there?
Er, BB and FS here all stock them. BB had a great sale a while back where they were giving away free 8 gig flash Zunes with the purchase of the 120.- insicor

Talk me out of the iPhone
iPhones are awesome. I would've went with one except I hate the data plans in Canada, and an unlocked one costs around $700-800. So I bought a Nokia N79 instead. NA needs more Symbian love.- insicor

Cowon S9 or Apple I-Pod Touch G2
I bought a 2G a while back and played with it for a couple of weeks, but it got returned. I don't know if I can say for sure whether the SQ was worse than any of my previous players (Zen Micro, Zen Vision:M, Samsung T9, Samsung P2, Sansa Clip), because while it sounded great with some songs...- insicor

If you want the O2 I suggest you read the ABI review. It has quite a lot of issues at the moment. Cowon O2 Review- insicor

Sony Walkman NWZ-X1000 (UK out NOW, US version out mid-June)
Looks awesome, but I think the luster of touch-screen DAPs is starting to wear off on me. Here's to hoping they actually use the wifi for something useful, like wireless podcast updates or something.- insicor

So, sony S739- some help please.
Erm, there is no A638. If you're talking about the newest Sony player without BT then it's the S638. Regarding the in-box headphones, I think they should be similar to the ones that come with the S638. They're okay, but nothing special. I listen with E4cs and only use the pack-ins when i'm...- insicor

Archos 5 vs Cowon O2?
Also one needs to keep in mind that the Archos 5 is a HD player, and the 605s had build quality issues. Hell mine keeps doing bizarre things like shutting off on it's own when loading files and crashing a whole lot.- insicor

Psp or ipod touch?
What others have said, but yeah, PSP = terrible DAP. It's a pretty good video player though, assuming you can get around the stupid limiting codec support.- insicor

Sorry guys... Zune 16 vs. S639
The 739 is identical except for the inclusion of noise-cancellation and I think the omission of FM radio. Someone may have to confirm that one for me though.- insicor

New Sony DAPs
One fairly minor annoyance I have is the FF is so damn slow. Not a problem if you're listening to music, but for longer files if you're trying to skip large portions then it's kind of a pain.- insicor

New Sony DAPs
The S series also has integrated podcast support, akin to an iPod or Zune, which happens to be a really big thing for me. It comes with a small app (tiny) that let's you drag and drop files straight from your iTunes library. I think it's already been released in the UK, but don't quote me on...- insicor

I wonder what their definition of almost no hiss is, because using my E4cs and 638 there's fairly notable hiss, although it's only noticeable in silent surroundings, compared to the Touch 2G which is dead silent.- insicor
