CEntrance DACport HD
I'm also experiencing the same Tidal error. Even when setting to 16/44, the app isn't happy. Since the DACport HD doesn't do MQA, I have Exclusive Mode and Force Volume checked. With software processing MQA, should get 24/96 so I set my DACport to 32/96 for now. I started seeing the...- cooldude1015

Shure se530:e-bay?
just a fyi... if you don't have an receipt and your earphones's break, Shure will also look at the time stamp on the earphones and if they were made within the warranty period they'll replace them without a receipt. if you buy them on ebay just ask for the manufacture date and if it's...- cooldude1015

Good IEM's for gaming?
Hmmm... I used to use the SE530s for gaming. While I never really focused on the differences between my current gaming cans (Ultrasone HFI-780) and the SE530s, generally the consensus is that SE530s have definite treble rolloff. What does that mean? Basically the SE530s cut off the very high...- cooldude1015

Ultimate Ears UE5 vs UE7 vs UE10 vs UE11 - how much of a difference is there REALLY?
In reality, how much something is worth depends completely on the person who buys them. For me, I'm still new in the game so I've never seriously compared anything and I can barely tell the difference between my Shure SE530s and my Ultrasone HFI-780s. So if I got the UE11s, although I know...- cooldude1015

IEMs that decisively beat ER-4P at ~$180 and below (for iPods)

Something with the bass/mids of Shure E500/E530 but better treble?
Although I can't say for a fact because I haven't received my Livewires yet... But I used to own the SE530s and went over to the Livewires in favor of it's more even sound. They're $250 + Cost of Impressions (~$25) so less or around the price of the SE530s and many people say the Livewires...- cooldude1015

Most comfortable IEM? Etymotic ER-4p, Ultimate Ears Triple-fi 10, Shure E530?
Yeah... echoing what everyone has said here. Get the Shure Olives for like 10 bucks and be happy. I had the se530s and I thought they were ridiculously comfortable because of the olive foams.- cooldude1015

Wow...I finally finished catching up on this 275-page thread. Yay! I went to get my ear impressions done by John Diles himself and I'm about to join the Red/Blue/Black team. I hope I don't have fit problems... But if I do I live about a hour away by public transportation.- cooldude1015

Best Soundstage? Headphones for Gaming :)
Actually to my knowledge the Auzen Prelude doesn't have DH. Looking for ideal gaming/trance cans
I recently bought my Ultrasone HFI-780s for gaming and music. I like them a lot and they are pretty comfortable on my head. I guess I have a medium sized head so these might be uncomfortable for you. Ultrasones are known to have a tight grip on your head lol. I like them a lot and I feel...- cooldude1015

Steelsound 5hv2 Sound
the steelsounds were made to be like that. they are absolutely horrible for anything but gaming. I remember when I was using those things pulling out my knife in css was ridiculously painful. suggestion: turn up bass (for a more even sound spectrum) and lower volume before your ears die.- cooldude1015

So what's the word on the new Ultrasone HFI-780????
The 780s are very very good at isolating sound. When my roommates talk to me I can barely hear them. They can't ever hear my music so it's all good. If you put the headphones into the "compact mode" where the cups are pressed against each other, absolutely no sound leaks from these babies...- cooldude1015

Alright so I got my HFI-780s and here are my impressions. What x-fi mode to use in games with HD600/HD650
I've found some good references. This is a continuation of the debate X-Fi CMSS-3D Headphone - Guru3D.com Forums "If you only have two speakers or headphones connected, but you have a 5.1 configuration selected in this menu, then guess what's going to happen? What x-fi mode to use in games with HD600/HD650
I've been thinking of this problem for a long time as well. I've tired setting 5.1 in game and enabling the CMSS-3D thing, assuming that it takes the 5.1 and translate it into positional audio for your headphones. To say the truth, however, I don't really think that's the case. My assumption is...- cooldude1015
