if you are concerned about QC Hiby R3 II is very well build dap it's not as powerful as v3 but still amazing little dap i find myself using it more and more over v3 and honestly i can't tell the difference between the two i think R3 II is much better then M1s- LyuboA

so i left my v3 for one week without using it completely turned off with 34% battery and now i can't even turn it on when i plugged it the battery was at 0% so something is using power which is strange never happened before when i had it turned off for few days so i suggest don't leave it for...- LyuboA

i have both v3 and R3 II and i can tell you they are almost identical R3 II is definitely much smaller with a smaller battery alot more portable and when it comes to sound they both sound amazing i've seen some ppl say v3 sounds better and when i got R3 II at first i thought it sounded flat but...- LyuboA

yep when paired with external amp this small dap sounds even better i tried it with my Topping L30II, FiiO K5 Pro AKM version as amp only and IFI Zen Can and i've never experienced any hiss it may be unit variant cause i've seen few others having this issue- LyuboA

did you extracted the file if so try another sd card some ppl had problems with some sd cards don't know if it's the format or the card itself- LyuboA

probably dead battery so yes you should ask for a replacement unless they forgot to plug in the battery it won't suprise me with their QC- LyuboA

this may be production issue but my V3 has good wifi and Bluetooth i've never experienced any issues with tidal streaming no hiss no cuts same for Bluetooth and it definitely doesn't increase the noise floor i've tested it with my most sensitive IEMs and when v3 is at max volume high gain...- LyuboA

yes it was exactly like v3 before 1.0 update but now after more time with R3 ii don't know if it's my imagination cause i don't believe in burn-in but now it sounds much more like v3 after update 1.0 much more fun and i did some AB on 3.5mm and now they sound almost the same all i can say both...- LyuboA

here's my initial impressions on R3 II compared to v3 it has much better build quality atleast on the outside it sounds good but how to describe it's very flat v3 is much more fun to listen to especially when it comes to RnB, Rap and so on for Classic music maybe R3 II will be the better choice...- LyuboA

i will once R3 II arrives and yes on 0.4 V3 was very flat to my ears too now with v1.0 i feel it has more pronounced bass and mids making the sound more like other AKM dacs i've heard but who knows maybe it's just my imagination anyway i like it better after v1.0 i just hope R3 II sounds like...- LyuboA

well they fixed some bugs with v1.0 and even unlocked more power with 3th gain setting plus i think it sounds a little better or maybe it's my imagination and from what i've seen with other devices using Hiby OS this is the most we can get i don't think there will be any more updates or at most...- LyuboA

ota dosn't work on 0.0.4 but they fixed that in update 1.0 so if you are waiting for ota on 0.0.4 or older not gonna happen you will have to manually install v1.0- LyuboA

yes PEQ should be a basic feature for any dap or dac amp but something with more then just 10 bands 20 or 30 will be great and i don't see why they don't just add PEQ it would add more value to the any dap with hiby os- LyuboA

i'm at 0.4 but when i check for update it fails every time dosn't say you are on latest update or no new updates just update check failed so they definitely have issues with their servers- LyuboA
