    Campfire Audio Chromatic Series

The only minor difference is the overall depth of the shells varies very slightly due to the different size requirements of the internal components. But overall I find they all feel almost exactly the same once they are in the ear.

Hi @Tristy, we are a bit overdue for a Market sale. We've been so busy with trade shows and a bunch of other projects that its taken a bit of a back seat. I have a round of stuff to get processed on the site and whatnot but I'll see if we can get something going for CA Market watchers soon!

Sensitivity is a fairly complicated subject, and I certainly can't claim to be an expert on it, but from conversations with our team, I can maybe share some insight here. Basically, I would say that the sensitivity of our earphones is mostly a byproduct of other design choices rather than...

Sure thing! While I can't speak to how other companies handle their cable pairing, but I'll try to provide some info here on our approach. Our goal is to pair high-quality cables with our earphones that highlight and synergize well with their sound signature. However, having a unique cable...

    Campfire Audio Chromatic Series

Thanks so much for sharing your CFA journey! It's always really cool to hear about the ebb and flow of our IEMs in someone's personal collection. Very glad to hear that the Chromatic Series caught your eye and led to you having an earphone you're getting lots of enjoyment out of :) Bonneville is...

Yes, relative to our broader lineup, Fathom is in a similar area as Andro Gold Ti. Fathom is a bit closer to classic Andro in terms of sound while Andro Gold Ti is closer to Ara. The main difference being the boost on the highs being higher and the bass being a touch more reserved on the Andro...

Hi @JAnonymous5150! Thanks for joining us here in the CA thread. As others have noted, there will be some sonic differences between a CIEM and Universal. This is due to a couple of factors, like ear geometry, fit depth, and the lack of ear-tip material. Generally speaking, we find a slight...

Campfire Chat - Official Campfire Audio 2024 Thread!

Thanks so much for sharing this! I think these two earphones are really a testament to how similar configurations can be used to create different listening experiences in some ways that are subtle and, in other ways, drastic. BlackStar and Bonneville are cousins but with very much their own...

Fathom from Campfire Audio - Official Thread

Yeah, I would agree that Ara could make this list as well. Ara does have a more drastic boost to its top-end than the Andro/Holocene do, but it is still very much oriented towards a spacious, crisp presentation and doesn't lend itself towards the more bass-focused end of things.

Fathom from Campfire Audio - Official Thread

I think that Holocene would be a great choice for this, probably our most neutral IEM. Next up would likely be Andromeda 2019 & earlier, then Andromeda 2020 and Ponderosa.

Fathom from Campfire Audio - Official Thread

Was able to do some brief A/B-ing today. BlackStar has more bass texture and rumble, unsurprisingly, with more physicality. BlackStar's presentation has more coloration overall. It's high peaks feel a bit sharper, but Fathom has more top-end air and extends further. Fathom is no slouch in bass...

    Campfire Audio Trifecta

Hey there, just thought I'd chime in with some clarifications here. For certain products, we can validate warranty without proof of purchase. The main determining factor here is if it's production run was within the last two years or not. So, for instance, we don't need validation for any...

Hey there, sorry we missed this! Yes, as others mentioned there will be a bit more warmth/bass due to the quality of the seal. It's hard to directly compare the performance to either foam/silicone. In terms of comfort, most find a custom to be the most comfortable you can get in an IEM.

Glad to hear you're enjoying them! When I was A/B-ing them with Andro, one of the most notable differences to me was the jump up in vocal performance. Andro is no slouch in terms of vocals, so it was a big (and welcome) surprise.
