ATH-ES7- Sound differnce between open and CLosed?
I currently own the ATH-ES7 which I love, however what I'm wondering is what the sound difference is between and open and closed headphone, Because I'm considering procuring a grado headphone at the moment.- jhac13

ATH-ES7,ATH-PRO700 SV, Grado SR-60/80 w/IEM
Good, I just bought went and bought 'em on buy.com saved $10 because of google checkout. Well presonally the headphones I wear now, used to kill me ears painful after 30 minutes of use or less. But I've built up such a tolerance that I doubt they'll be painful at all. Thanks for all y'all...- jhac13

ES7 or MS-1 looks pretty good, the MS-1 I might have to hold out until either December or next Summer when I'll get a significantly long enough break to appreciate them, without disturbances. Either me disturbing people or...- jhac13

Right now I'm thinking I'll get the es7's and maybe after a bit I'll look into the ms-1's for home use. ES7's look like they'll travel well too. Always a plus as I seem to be going on little side trips every so often. Well it's still up in the air.- jhac13

hmmm... The MS-1 looked quite interesting too. I really might start looking into that one harder. Damn different needs. I need something closed as to not bother my roomates etc. But I can easily accomplish that with using my current headphones. Junky that they are. Damn now things are...- jhac13

ATH-ES7,ATH-PRO700 SV, Grado SR-60/80 w/IEM
Well as the title says it, I'm looking among those. I like the first two for the fact that they are a closed design, and therefor become general purpose headphones for me. If I get one of the Grado's I would then be forced to get some sort of iem, for general use with my ipod etc. I was...- jhac13
