I think this is a pretty good deal: cayin ru6 for 168.83 - 10 (store coupon for following) = 158.83 https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256803415100681.html yesterday it was actually less due to the aliexpress sale but this is still good i think

    qls mub 1

Thanks so much! I have the Shanling h7 which is also great however the playback buttons only function via Bluetooth and not usb. On Mac, it takes over the volume control and disables it completely. Based on your answer, I’m guessing that with the mub1 won’t disable the computers volume control...

    qls mub 1

Can anyone comment on the playback controls such as pause/play/next, as well as the volume control? Does it work well when the device is connected via USB to your phone or computer? I’m really tempted to buy this

    Best IEM tips?

Super helpful! Can you comment on which ones you think we should size up or down? I have a hard time deciding on the size solely based on the diameter of the eartips… they vary so much. Also, any popular ones that you did not like?

What is the best EQ software for Mac and iPhone?

I've been using Boom 3D's EQ but it's so tedious to use... I wouldn't recommend it

I just pulled the trigger... I think it should fit since the website mentioned that "With the Maxwell, it’s a little tight, but it does fit." and He1000's width is less than that of the Maxwell. I just measured the width of my HE1000s and it's 4.24", so I think an extra 0.25" should be ok and...

    Shanling H7 - High-End Portable DAC/AMP/Player, Featuring new AKM AK4499EX Flagship DAC

I just got my Shanling H7 yesterday and one of the reasons that I chose the H7 was because I saw that it had playback control (ie: turn left wheel to jump back/next, press volume wheel play/pause). However, it doesn't seem to work for USB-C input. It works on bluetooth. Is this by design? If so...

    AKG's New Flagship IEM - N5005

 I think I might have freakishly asymmetrical ears! With Azla Max, i realized that I'm a size ML (left) and L (right). But with the stock tips, I'm a size L in both ears. With the JVC spiral dots++, it's reversed: L (left) and ML (right)???? I don't know how to explain it... I've...

Should my ifi xDSD gryphon replace my Hifiman EF400 or should I keep both?

I mainly listen to my Hifiman HE1000 Stealth (v4) and AKG n5005. During the day, I'm at my desk and use the EF400. At night, I use my xDSD gryphon in bed. I honestly enjoy using both but I feel like maybe I should sell my EF400 and use the gryphon full time at my desk too. I feel like the iFi...

My First $650 Audio Gear Haul - How Did I Do? Did I Maximize Value? AKG N5005, Sennheiser HD 6XX, iFi Audio Micro iDSD Signature Finale

Thanks for your comment. As a newcomer to this hobby, I greatly appreciate hearing the preferences and opinions of other enthusiasts, which is precisely why I joined this forum. I anticipate that my own preferences will become more tailored over time. I’ve looked up the Hexa and Sundara + Shio...

My First $650 Audio Gear Haul - How Did I Do? Did I Maximize Value? AKG N5005, Sennheiser HD 6XX, iFi Audio Micro iDSD Signature Finale

Thanks so much! I’m pretty content with my current setup and don’t plan on making any changes, so just for kicks, what could you get for 650 bucks? You’ve piqued my interest! Indeed, $1000 does seem steep. I agree with you that it seems like I managed to get something valued at around $400 for...

My First $650 Audio Gear Haul - How Did I Do? Did I Maximize Value? AKG N5005, Sennheiser HD 6XX, iFi Audio Micro iDSD Signature Finale

Hello Head-Fi community, I’m a long-time user of the AirPods Max and AirPods Pro (1st gen), but I recently became interested in wired audio gear. After doing some research, I made the following purchases with the goal of stretching my dollar and maximizing the price-to-performance ratio as much...

    AKG's New Flagship IEM - N5005

I'm happy to report to everyone that I indeed had success with the AZLA SednaEarfit MAX Standard. Previously, I only tried the included stock ear tips and the CP145s fit the best in size M in my left ear, and M (sometimes L) in my right ear. With the SednaEarfit MAX Standard, the ML sized tips...

    AKG's New Flagship IEM - N5005

Do you (or anyone else) know how these compare with the Westone W80-V3? The Westone W80-V3 at $349 (down from 999) also seems like an astonishing bargain with 8 BA driver. Wondering if it's worth the extra 150?

    AKG's New Flagship IEM - N5005

I recently got the AKG N5005 and like a lot of you, I've been having issues with the included ear tips. Out of the box, the best ones would be the CP145 tips. I've been vacillating between the medium and large sizes and finally settled with medium. Although the CP145s feel comfortable and seem...
