Yes, absolutely agree with this and also I was surprised how light are the AC compared to the Verite. I think the fact that it has no metal grills contribute to its light weight I strongly recommend you to try the Caldera suede pads. Very nice and balanced sound BTW congrats! Beautiful pair...

THE WATERCOOLER HEADPHONE EDITION – Headphones, Amps, DACs, and desktop/home audio related – a freewheeling discussion of gear, impressions, music, and musings.

Hello everyone. Nice thread and very interesting! I am really enjoying reading, and also listening to some of the albums you have shared. I thought I would also share 2 or 3 albums that I like. I found this one recently on Qobuz. It's a kind of folk-country rock concert by an Australian...

+1 with Caldera Suedes. To my ears, they not only balance the sound, but also open up the soundstage, compared to the stock pads (Caldera Lambskin thin)

Please don't apologize. Writing a review is hard work for the community and something we should always be grateful for. Thank you very much sir!

Nice and interesting review. A few months ago I had to decide between VC and AC and this review would have been a great help. I'm sure it will be for some others who will have to choose. Also good music to support the review. I usually try to listen to the same tracks while reading the review...

Hello, Caldera suede pads work great in my case. The bass is there but much more controlled. And I think they open up the soundstage a bit too. Maybe at some point I will go back to the stock ones to feel that wonderful sub-bass again, but it’s true that sometimes it was too much (for me) As...

    ZMF Verite Open

I haven't tried the iHA6 or the Pietus Maximus, but here's my experience with a high impedance output amp and I hope it helps (long story short): I tried a few amps for my Verite, including some Violectrics and Feliks Euforia. Although the VO sounded great with all of them, the one that sounded...

Wow! That's very interesting. I always thought the Verite is a little underrated, and overshadowed by the newer models. I think it has its own character and deserves a place among the TOTL headphones

Yeah, lately I've been giving the AC more time, since it's my new toy, but every time I go back to the Verite it always blows me away. A few days ago I discovered this blues album and I've been listening to it with the AC. It sounded very good, I would even say great. Today I thought I'd switch...

Thanks for the comment! But just to clarify, the picture is not mine (I wish it were....but I didn't assist to Canjam NYC), it's just coppied from a previous post. And agree with you that it shows the angles vey well and it's a very nice set

Well, sometimes new things (and shapes) can seem a little strange at first, until your brain gets used to it. Honestly, I like it, it's something different, new, well done! This particular set seems perfect to me, I love it!

Beautiful picture! PS. I also have that track in my usual playlist and sounds great with the VO. That guitar... Edit: Check this track from Stevie Ray Vaughan (next track in my playlist to the one you mentioned). Love the guitars with the VO...

Yes, it seems that Woo amplifiers are very well built and users are very happy. And specifically the WA2 seems to be a very good option for an OTL Wa2 is about 2,5k (new) in the EU so a bit in the upper range of my budget, but I will include it in my short list Many thanks!

Hey, thanks sir! Yes I would like to get an OTL, although I've also had a look at the Cayin HA-3A and Icon HP8, both OTC and also great for ZMFs from what I have read Lately I'm following the Eufonika OTL amps. Hand made in Poland, very good price and it seems they also match the ZMF dynamics...

Hi guys, just wanted to share some impressions after a few weeks with my olive wood AC. My unit is very light weight, much lighter than my Verite. The magnesium chassis helps with that. It was a pre-built unit from November, so I didn't choose the magnesium specifically, but I'm happy with it...

ZMF Caldera - New Planar Magnetic from ZMF!

+1 for the AC as a good complement for something faster and detailed like the Caldera (or Verite) For bass heavy genres it is absolute, visceral pleasure And as for Classical music and Jazz, although I love these genres with the Verite, I completely agree that listening with the AC is very...

An absolute pleasure to listen to this album with Verite. I love how it presents all the details in a calm way and combines it with that warm, lush sound on such a large soundstage. Tbh I didn't know this artist and I chose it randomly from “New releases” on Qobuz, but I'm really enjoying it...
