I have the Jot2, Bifrost 2/64, along with the Lokius tone control unit. All have balanced connects, and my headphones use the balanced cable too. Couldn't be happier! The Lokius is the icing on the cake. Really superb for dialing in your music. My streamer is the ifi Stream, streaming Tidal.

My bad, the Lokius does have vent holes. There is about 1/4" clearance between the units for the heat to escape. Kinda hard to see without a flashlight lol. The Jot 2 also has side vent holes. I put it on top of the stack assuming it is the hottest running of the 3 units. Anyways, always a good...

Well, the Jot 2 has heat escape vent holes on top, so I think putting it on top makes sense, to allow the heat to escape into the free air above, not cook another unit sitting right on top of it. The Bi 2 and Lokius don't have these vent holes.

I have a Jot 2 on top of Bifrost 2 on top of Lokius. I read that the Lokius should be kept some distance away from transformers, so I put it on the bottom. It sits on 4 hockey pucks which are risers. Am I doing this correctly? Or not? I see you guys put the Lokius right under the Jot 2, which...

Feverfive, if you are on the hunt for a good DAC, why not go Schiit too? The Bifrost 2 is what I have, along with the Jot2 and Lokius tone controls. All feature XLR connections. The Bifrost 2 is the business.

I will second what Luckyleo reports. It is better to have seperates. I also have the Jot2 and BiFrost2. I highly recommend adding a Lokius tone control unit to your Schiit stack. It makes a big difference in my listening experience.

I've had it since seeing Foghat in the 3rd row in the mid 70's without ear plugs. The brain learns to ignore it.

About 2 months in with mine...no issues at all. Connected via ethernet to my router. Streaming Tidal with ipad and my Schiit stack. Very happy enthusiast here. 👊

In total agreement. I messaged him asking which was the correct products to convert to XLR for my HP-3s. He responded right away. I ordered and it arrived in a few days. Top notch quality products, great value, highly recommended.

New head-fier here, set up my desktop system a few days ago. My ZS is working flawlessly after some initial trouble pairing from my ipad streaming Tidal. It was just a learning curve I had to go thru, no fault of any component. What a fantastic unit! I dig the LED color changes on the right...

Not sure what the 2/64 version is, but it is brand spankin new, so I assume it is the latest version. The Lokius really is the icing on the cake. All balanced connects too.

I just got my system up and running today, and it is blowin' my funky mind! Jot 2/Lokius/Bifrost 2 fed by ipad/Tidal/ifi Zen Stream, Klipsch HP-3 cans. On low gain with volume around 9ish, it is an excellent aural experience.
