Anyone used this in USB DAC mode? How's the latency when gaming?

The only problem with it is that it has an annoying audio delay when used in USB DAC mode so I can't use it when gaming and it looks like it's a long time issue that FiiO knows about but hasn't managed to...

I would actually argue against this depending on how long you are out for. Sure the BTR7 is smaller and lighter than the M11 but the battery life kinda sucks. If you're out only for a bit, it's fine but any longer than say 4-5 hours on balanced and you'll be scrambling for a charger.

I had a BTR7 before I got the M11 Plus ESS, the sound is very similar but the M11 has slightly better sound stage and sounds wider to my ears. Also has more power so if you have something that likes high power, it works better.

There should be an auto setting. Go to: Settings -> Audio -> Output -> set all outputs to Hi-res -> open Wired Headset in Hi-Res -> change sample rate and sample format to auto. If it still keeps up scaling it, manually set it to whatever you like. I prefer 96kHz sample rate and auto sample format

I prefer using poweramp. Has much better EQ controls and customisation.

That looks like the ESS version of the M11 Plus.

Mine works fine together. ESS and LTD share the same dimensions I believe.

I probably needed more time with them or there was some fudgery cause I was swapping between wired and Bluetooth but at that moment, they did sound the same with the LCD having a wider soundstage.

No idea what DLNA is but PEQ stands for "Parametric Equalizer" and it basically lets you set the frequencies in the EQ along with Q values. It's very good for customising the EQ and a very good addition. Sadly, it only affects FiiO's player and not device wide.

Turn down the sampling rate in Windows and the buffer size in the driver settings should help.

If you like all your music in one place and need the extra power, get the M11. If you want to save some money and need UAC 1.0 support (I.e., using it with a PS5) get the BTR7.
