Is there really no software video player that supports ASIO or WASAPI? It annoys the crap out of me that every time I put on a music DVD or whatever, Vista automatically upsamples it to 192khz. Anyone know of a way that allows for bit perfect output?

Anybody using this setup and got it to work? DirectSound works perfectly, but with ASIO, everything is just dead quiet. I can see the file playing, but it's like there's no output signal (I'm using spdif). It worked as it should when I was using XP.

Is there such a thing? Maybe it's not even possible, I don't know. It would be cool to be able to play concert DVD's etc through ASIO though.

A simple question probably, but if I were to get a 24bit/192kHz DAC and connect it to my 24bit/96kHz soundcard, would I be able to play 192kHz files? I'm guessing that I could, but just want to make sure.
