Building a speaker system for my apartment from scratch, I really only have experience with the headphone world.   Went into a local audio shop and heard this Integrated Amplifier - $1799 to my ears it sounded incredible, A/B tested against a peachtree nova65se on a pair of Totem Rainmakers...

I'm using this set up with my macbook pro and sennheiser HD650s I'm pretty sure I set the switches right on the bottom of the amp to match the impedance of my headphones. Is there anything else I should do with the DAC/Amp to optimize the sound? it sounds fine, i am just wondering if it...

Which would match better with my system? The Micro DAC is good beacuse its small and relatively portable...but the EMU is good because it has guitar inputs for my bass guitar.... but i'd mostly be using this as a headphone DAC, so which one would sound better through my LD MK III and...

i went with the fubar II!!!! so my system is Laptop -> Fubar II -> LD MK III -> Sennheiser HD650 right now i just have the HD650s....and they sound freaking unbelievable! right through my laptop headphone out! wow! i can't imagine how they'll sound with the DAC/AMP

i purchased the LD MK3 about an hour ago...so I guess i'll deal with this until i can get a DAC. hopefully to my ears the amp will sound stunning...even just through my laptop/Cd player/ipod
