    The Sennheiser Treasure Hunt

Yeah, this is way better than some other sites that want me to follow them on every social media platform (even those I don't use) and then like and comment a bunch of stuff. It's smart too as it might lead some people to finding new products they otherwise wouldn't know about. I wasn't...

    The Sennheiser Treasure Hunt

How many codes are there in total (or did I miss it)? Found 24 in about 5 minutes...but only checked the 3 links given (Drop/Senn/Amazon)...don't want to spend the next hour looking for more if I only missed one or two lol

Newbie need help choosing child's (11yr) headphones.

I'd consider something like the Sennheiser HD350BT and just go bluetooth. I've seen em as low as $80, but it looks like they're $99 now. I'd go that route just to eliminate the need for a long cable with a kid. I've got the HD450BT's and while the sound isn't all that great for music, it's...

    Sennheiser has been sold!

They do make good headphones, but they also make a lot of crap HP's (basically anything under $200 that isn't an HD6XX). The problem is, for the avg consumer the only ones you can readily find on store shelves are the crap ones. The big problem is they also made is clear that they can make a...

    Sennheiser has been sold!

Not surprising. What they were doing just wasn't working. Hopefully Sonova can right the ship, but I'm not optimistic.

    R E C E N T - Purchases Thread

Within 60 days for me: LCD-X - 7/10. Kind of a "jack of all trades"; good at just about everything...but unfortunately not great at any one thing. Not quite regret, but disappointed in that they aren't my endgames (which means I have to spend more $$$ now to find it). Was hoping these would...

    E-MU Wooden Series Headphones

No worries, ordered through Amazon so easy returns :) Just gotta keep looking till I find something that works I guess. I did try the other suggestions to stretch the hell out of the thing and got it closer but not quite. I noticed that to even get it to that point I was compressing the...

    E-MU Wooden Series Headphones

Good to know. I'm gonna steer clear of BD ones then since my headband is still new. Any other headbands that are similar in size to the Teaks that you know of? I'm browsing Amazon but I find that most if not all the listings fail to include any type of measurements for the pads :(

    E-MU Wooden Series Headphones

Just a heads up, but anyone who is looking for the headband pads should avoid the Vever/BD one linked above by amoeba. Just got it in today, it isn't even remotely close to being the correct size. I guess the BD headbands must be 1/2 the width of the Teak. On to the next one... *sigh*

Selling my 1yr old Sundaras. Sound like they did when new, and still in overall great condition with 2 caveats: 1 - The "H" logo on one side is starting to fade (pictured in one of the closeups, with the opposite for comparison) 2 - The pads are a little squished. Not sure if that's from...

Got this for my EMU-Teaks and found out quickly that it was too bulky and I had to max out the yokes to fit it on my head. Used it for less than an hour and put back in the box and it's sat in the closet for the last week. Gonna try something else so this can go now. Only 1hr old but I noticed...

    E-MU Wooden Series Headphones

Pilot Pad seems well made, but was way too bulky. Had the yokes maxed out and it still wasn't enough, compared to down 2 notches w/o the pilot pad. Used it for less than an hour and just couldn't get it to work properly. Maybe I have a bigger head than I thought lol. Time to resell. Gonna...

    E-MU Wooden Series Headphones

Yes, I'd say so. I have big ears and a pretty big head too so the stock pads just weren't a great fit for me. They were super soft though, but ergonomically they just weren't right for me. Smaller heads/ears would probably like them.

    E-MU Wooden Series Headphones

Just an update since I wasn't having the best experience with the Teaks a couple weeks ago: It seems like a "sealing issue" was the crux of the problem. Ordered the ZMF Ori pads and finally got them in a couple days ago and now after listening for a while I can say they're much much better...

Official Unofficial 8XX Discussion Thread - UPDATE SENNHEISER HAS BEEN SOLD!!! GT(heck)IH

Probably more to do with the fact that most people get paid on Friday so weekends are probably going to be the days with the most activity sales-wise.

    E-MU Wooden Series Headphones

I hadn't thought of that. Possible maybe, I have big ears and the pads are a bit small (the main reason I was looking into some new pads).

Awesome, thanks for the help! I'll definitely try to head up to Torrance, and maybe the Schiit store too next time I have a free day to compare.

    E-MU Wooden Series Headphones

Yeah, makes sense. I just wanted these to be perfect for me though lol. I was more amped for this purchase than any of the other HP's :( Question though...just occurred to me: does the DAC/Amp have much to do with the "shortcomings" I'm having? I know the Magni/Modi are on the low end, and...

    E-MU Wooden Series Headphones

Yeah, I'm leaning that way. They're probably just not for me unfortunately. Shame because I had high hopes and well...they didn't pan out :(

    E-MU Wooden Series Headphones

Well....that's just it. I have tested it. Had my Teak's for a week now, and they're pretty underwhelming to be honest. They're not terrible, but they're nothing special. Instead of leaving them as is and settling for "just ok" and "well...I guess it's lighter than the LCD-X *shrug*" I'd...

    E-MU Wooden Series Headphones

Are there any other off the shelf/ready to buy options for wooden cups other than Lawton (too expensive for a $500 HP) or EMU (their communication is terrible)? Not 100% sold on these just yet and want to try some new cups and maybe some ZMF pads.

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

This is the one I'm waiting for too. Something Jot sized for ~$650/750 that features-wise would slot in between the Mini and Max.

    Audeze LCD-X

Just got em in earlier today and finally got the Reveal plugin working...and wow....just....wow. They do everything my Sundaras did just 10x better. I thought I was picking up things with the Sundaras that I'd never heard, but this is just so much better. So much detail, and it feels like I'm...

CSGO and quality music... Do I need 2 headsets?

I don't play CS:GO, but I do play R6 Siege all the time. I used Sundara's for ~9 months and thought they were amazing for gaming. I basically turned into a sound-***** overnight and could get the drop on most people just thanks to the better sound awareness I suddenly had. There might be...
