Introducing MOMENTUM 4 Wireless
Tried these on yesterday. The pads are angled, but not particularly deep. Much less so than something like the QC45 (which is still considerably more comfortable). Sound is reminiscent of my WH1000XM4's after some in-app EQ (which are themselves less comfortable than the Momentum 4's). *edit* I...- mrfashion

Austrian Audio Hi-X60 closed back studio headphone
That is incredibly thorough. Thanks for taking the time to write this. It's refreshing too see someone who considers the wild differences between earpads, cups and comfort. These are all observations I 100% agree with. I have an awfully difficult time finding headphones I'm comfortable with. My...- mrfashion

Earbuds Round-Up
Thanks for this rundown. I think it'll be very useful for a lot of people here as they're in direct competition. I can back up what you said about the Fiio EM5 as well. After extensive testing, I also found the donut foams are the best. I'll tell you what though, changing foams on the EM5 is a...- mrfashion

Earbuds Round-Up
Is there any consensus on the Fiio EM5 vs YC RW-3000? I have the Fiio EM5's but would love to hear how the RW-3000 compare from someone who has or has listened to both.- mrfashion

Pioneer SE-MONITOR5 - Pioneer's high-end closed-back
Could you or any other owner do me a huge favour and list the inner height and depth of the earpad? Don’t want to blow a bunch of dosh on these only to find my big ears don’t fit..- mrfashion

Earbuds Round-Up
It’s only this which is preventing me from buying the Fiio EM5 right now. To be honest, it wouldn’t have bothered me too much a few years back... but I keep having horror premonitions of my toddler tearing the cable apart like warm bread.- mrfashion

Earbuds Round-Up
Fiio’s reasoning with the EM5 was that their head tuner decided it sounds best with that particular silver litz cable. They didn’t want to compromise the sound quality by allowing users to attach different cables. I might be in the minority, but I find it troubling that Fiio’s (head?) tuner...- mrfashion

[FiiO UTWS3] True Wireless Bluetooth Module/MMCX/0.78 2pin/QCC3020/TPA6140A2/ Bluetooth 5.0
Won't work with the stock PS5. However it will work if you plug a Creative BT-W3 into the PS. Tbh I'd recommend the Fiio LC-BT2 though as it has Aptx-LL (just like the Creative BT-W3) which means ~40ms latency.- mrfashion

Earbuds Round-Up
I do find EQ kinda frustrating.. like it weighs over me a bit. Using headphones as an example... to my ears, my HD599's and HD560s' sound nigh-on identical after using Oratory1990's EQ settings. This makes the HD599's incredible value when seen on sale. However that's only useful when running...- mrfashion

Light comfortable headphones for someone with very large ears?
Yeah the HD6X0 family is hard to recommend. They have nice padding and good height, but both my ears touch from covering the drivers. On the plus side, at least there is foam there and not hard plastic like the K371 and many other headphones.- mrfashion

Light comfortable headphones for someone with very large ears?
Nope. Definitely exclude Beyerdynamic. The average males ear height is 63mm and Beyer cups are only 58mm. Also their driver is flat so there wont be enough depth. Your best option at a reasonable price will be the Sennheiser HD5XX series. For best sound, if you can’t use prametric EQ (through...- mrfashion

AKG K361/K371
I often wonder how many more headphones I'd own if I didn't waste so much money on fancy earpads/tips/cables etc ;) One more question - do yuu find the stpad2 provide a little more depth than the stock pads? I would stick with the stock... but I just feel like all I need is another mm or two...- mrfashion

AKG K361/K371
Previously you mentioned this: Interested as my ears touch the drivers with the stock pads and I'm hoping to find something which gives me a little more space without destroying the harman accuracy (the whole reason the K371 is popular in the first place).- mrfashion
