so i have received a like new hfi-700 today, and have already begun modifying itt..   first i opened the left headphone, and have discovered a pcb with a few diodes... this was a problem, so i took it out... next, i took the wire transferring to the right headphone, so i can recable them and...

just curious, besides the outer cups on the new "I" version of grados, is there anything else different, such as the internal cups being longer? I have grado sr80i, but if I replace the cups with that of the older ones, would it affect it at all? I want to replace them because I prefer the soudn...

I have an old e-mu 0404 which the main output makes a big scratchy noise when its turned all the way low... i want to replace it but can't find it anywhere!? Can anyone help me out? All I know is that it is an Alpha 10k with 6 pins

so i just got my sr80i, was surprised i received it with comfies on it! then i realized, the new sr80 comes with them... so i'm wondering, would it be better if i buy bowls for it? what are the difference on the sr80i? is there more bass with the comfies or bowls? what are the main differences?

im guessing the metal knob is touching the metal pot which is touching the metal case which is grounded ?

hey guys - how comfortable is a, hp-3, or yh-3 or anything similar? they seem to have just a plastic headband?

i have some sr-80s and have been using them for a while, and love them, but what if i trade them for a pair of qp55x? do they have a similar sound? a completely different sound? has anyone every compared the 2?

so i bought a sr80 as is from someone which said one of the drivers was not working.. i looked at it and the connection was loose, so i soldered it back correctly and everything, everything looks good but still no sound coming from it. can it be a dead driver?? how does a driver die?

does anyone know the answer to this problem? i just built my first mini3 today, did everything accordingly, except i set the gain to 2 instead of the regular.. then i power it up, the power led turns on real quick, then dims down and the amp works but very weak and all distorted... its really...

guys im not looking for headphones.. i've gone through stax lambda, grado rs-2, akg sextetts, all those good ones, but i finally am sticking to a cheap grado... its the best headphone yet.. its fun, cheap, what more can you ask.. im just looking to treat it with a better cable..

this is a sr60 we're talking about.. so i want to upgrade the cable to something a little better.. so would you think spc wire is better than the mogami? what type of AWG? i've fiddled around with the 2534 for a while, made some headphone cables with it and some interconnects, but i want to see...
