Got my ipod reformatted and some music on it before iTunes decided to recognize it anymore anyone have any ideas or open to take a look at playing music an the sound has more clarity & stage then my current xsmax pro

managed to piece this gen 5 classic back together and finally get iTunes to recognize the thing, it then is no longer compatible w/ anything I do with it on my mbp 2011 running high sierra. put in disk mode got some music on it that way then nothing it does nothing now. anyone here familiar w/...
