please burn them in for a while! Ahh yeah the GS-X MK2 is a great amp :), the pro edition does like tubes a lot as it is it could be a little "too accurate" making it a little sterile I guess. I am sure the woo would really be a great match, it even sounded very nice on a WA2 I had.

what amp are you using to drive teh D8k pro, it is very amp dependent, although my old susvara was more picky with the amp than this. Also keep in mind my pair took atleast 50 hours until they were worn in and the bass came to life and the FR evened out more too.

Awesome! Give it a little time to burn in, I noticed for me it took maybe 50 hours or so. Sometimes I would notice a slight crackling. Just let them run for a few days straight at moderate volume.

Yes I have. I feel that the Stax through the T8000 maybe slightly edges it on detail especially that surface detail. It also probably had a more natural sounding timbre quality in the mid range. HOWEVER in saying this I still feel as an overall package the D8k pro wins out

I actually think the Ether C flow 1.1 is the closest for a closed back alternative. The ZMF is better in many ways but its totally different in my opinion

It is absoltuely dead silent, you’d be hurting your ears pushing it past half way on the volume knob. To me, for the relatively low price it’s an outstanding pairing. This is regarding the Pro edition the tuning of the regular D8000 may mean a different result in pairing
