You could try setting the volume to max on the TW2 and just using the phone for volume adjustment. The only possible advantage of either approach is that you are disabling one of the volume controls.

Have you tried turning off absolute volume in developer options?

Just to let you all know that I received my Fiio FD5s today. Wall busting soundstage and precise imaging. Many spine tingling moments. Probably down to my weird hearing.

I got some Shure TW2 ear hooks yesterday and so far I am very pleased with them. No LDAC, but aptx seems to work well. Well worth a look, I'd say.

I'm a newbie here but have been looking around, so sorry if this is a stupid question. When iems/headphones are described as having a large soundstage, does that mean that the iem/headphone is imparting said soundstage, or does it mean that the soundstage of the recording is being accurately...
