I would say that the new driver definitely needs more power. The more power you can supply it, the better the control and features you love will come out. I have the OM's as well and both the EST's and the Driver definitely benefited from giving it more power.

I knew this when I bought it, but I preferred the connectors used by Nicehck over the ones used by XINHS. They were better suited for the OM's recessed 2 pin

The graphene cable from Nicehck transformed my OM. I highly suggest it.

What I find helps with removing the filters is to utilize the silicone tips. I squeeze the tips and turn the filter to help get a solid grip on them. Perhaps try this out to see if it works for you as well.

Hence the reason I use UAPP ;)

That's why we use dongles. Dongles bypass the onboard DAC of phones, but the inherent issue with iPhones is the low voltage they pump through their USB port. Also, I can assure you that my DAC on my V60, far surpasses that of any iPhone

It seems to me that if you want a solid on-the-go setup for audio, iPhone just isn't the best option for a phone.

I was in the same boat with you on the black filter. Love the bass rumble, but it crept into the mids and narrowed the soundstage. That's why I found that the perfect balance (for me) was the blue bottom. Any nozzle below that just killed the bass response and the magic of that DD.

You can add cables to the list of supplied items that can be improved upon. I heard rumors of a graphene cable upgrade coming from IMR but it was going to be expensive so I'm not sure where they're at with that.
