Yep had a 512Gb in from day one, works a treat.

Firstly the software Sony: simple no messing around - R6 to much going on (I know it's andriod) and HiBy software hard to navigate around. Software update: Sony is straight forward - HiBy R6 well Ib will let you "Google" that one. I will be selling the R6 very soon.

If have loads of FLAC and really cannot tell the differance as long as the encoding is done right even on the balanced over ear headphones. Qnapper

Will I have a HiBy R6 (not for much longer) and have run tests on both and the Sony to me comes out on top every time. I know it cannot access the internet, I know the interface is basic, but then again I only want to listen to my music.......... Job done and at 60+ sounds great...........

Well, did the "rockbox" hack today and boy does it make a differance to the UK model. This also allows me to use the sony remote and added gain control, all be it I have not used the extra gain as of yet. This little machine is so much better than the HiBy R6 I bought only a few weeks ago and...

SORTED....... after reading the full thread here the answer was to format the micro SD card before transfering music across and making sure the folder was called MUSIC not Music....... :gs1000smile:

Question please: why when I make a playlist and then connected to computer to add some more music does the playlists I have a;ready made state "Not editable" - seams odd.

Will I bought one today and so far very pleased. Software update went well, but have not done the volume hack yet as not sure I need that. I was wondering about the "High Gain" so thank you for that. Now justc need to work out how to make/sort my play lists. Qnapper

Yep, drove 15 miles there and back for new cable.

Guy's not "bricked it" as cannot connect it to the software as no com port showing. Now trying a windows XP machine, which I can see has com ports showing for other items, but cannot get drivers to load to see the R6. There must be someone who has the know how. WHY me........ Qnapper
