I'm a noob myself but that sounds pretty loose.  When I first got mine and put them in my ears felt "stuffed".  I definitely don't feel any need to (or benefit from) pushing on them.  I also would be hesitant to put heat shrink on anything going that deep into my ear.   Quote:

I still wish someone would get around to making a cable with an iphone mic/remote. Once I started using that remote there was no going back, it is just way to convenient. But I can only imagine a properly made cable would be far better than this kluged together franken cable I built for myself
