Since you seem to actually like your DT990, if you're wanting a convenient desktop solution that looks and sounds good The Element is a really great option. It has a very clean sound, has enough power to fuel most headphones and looks good to boot.

So both the Beyer and Clear are going to be fairly bright in comparison to the 650s and with that feature an entirely different sound signature, one that I personally not a huge fan of, they're both high detail but fatiguing in my experience. I also don't care for the 'tinny' feel the Clear has...

Me too! Boy do I love the Atticus though and I hopped on a decent deal for the Blackwood Auteur shortly after which sadly does not get nearly as much listening time

I suggest picking up a good closed back like the Fostex TR-X00 which can be had for ~300 used since we all know that sometimes you just want to be able to tune out the kids. Helps that their a fun and good sounding headphone as well.

Weight shouldn’t be much of a problem as long as the headband and pads are good. There’s no way they’ll be heavier than my ZMF cans and those are among the most comfortable headphones I own

I hopped in the campaign pretty early on and for me I just want these to be a justifiable replacement for my K702. If they beat it out in comfort and have a decent soundstage with an emphasis on clarity I’ll be happy
