Advanced Sound Model 3 Impressions Thread
I haven't been on this forum in months... been pretty happy with my model 3's  would consider a hybrid pair, though! UPDATE to this though -- these were distorting because my iPhone had some bug in the bluetooth audio stack. Did a settings reset and now no distortion! Sounds amazing!- Jeepz

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Let's be honest, in practice they don't sound great and could be improved a lot. As I said, I go back to using my EarPods microphone (the cheap crappy headphones that came with my iPhone) if I want people to hear me more clearly. It doesn't take an audiophile to hear the difference.- Jeepz

They're OK for basic communication. They sound like a low quality MP3 played back through an old school rotary phone. Probably due to the SCO codec. I wouldn't do any conference calls with them.- Jeepz

Why are people so impressed by the AirPods mics? Even the microphone on the wired EarPods sounds better. Is the bar for wireless mics that low?- Jeepz

TIMELY REVIEW on the Jabra Elite 65T! Thank you. I was hearing good first impressions on reddit and on the BestBuy site but figured I'd wait for a passing grade from my Head-fi.org bros  Hoping to replace my AirPods with these.- Jeepz

Oh man... this sounds awesome! I don't have any experience with hybrid IEM's yet. I wonder if this will fix some of the distortion I hear with some of the more complicated piano tracks, as well as some of the bass-heavy tracks.- Jeepz

Thanks. Nice review! I've been sick for the last couple days so I've been loafing around the house with these. I've been able to wear them for over 10 hours (small change around the 5 hour mark) and there very comfortable. No pain points or irritation. I even fell asleep on the couch with them...- Jeepz

Excellent review. Thanks so much. This cements the purchase for me. -

MEE Audio BTX1 Bluetooth MMCX Cable -- Any owners?
Perfect -- thanks for the update! I've actually grown to love the over-ear cable style -- adds a lot of stability for me. Do you notice any connection/audio drop outs from the bluetooth connection at times? -

MEE Audio Pinnacle P2
I wonder if these need some breaking in -- they sound much harsher than my Adv Model 3's.- Jeepz

Advanced Sound Model 3 Impressions Thread
So after comparing these with the Mee Audio P2 ... I'll probably end up returning the P2's. The Model 3's are way more comfortable, warmer and fuller sound (though lacking a bit of detail in the mids compared to the P2's) and they don't skimp out on Comply tips. I had to go out and buy another...- Jeepz

MEE Audio Pinnacle P2
Definitely. The main reason why I got the AM3 was because of the mmcx bluetooth cable. But I'm not a fan of the design so I'll probably pick up the Mee Audio BTX1 bluetooth cable.- Jeepz

Ah so its worth the difference. Thanks! After having my Advanced Model 3's for a couple weeks, I've been looking for another best-bang-for-buck model and the P2's sound like a winner.- Jeepz

IIRC Advanced's staff said most MMCX cables should work but they can't guarantee them working with every cable. I'd purchase them from a retailer that accepts returns/exchanges.- Jeepz

iPhone AAC vs. Aptx and Aptx-hd real world
This isn't true. On all my Macs (Air, Mini, iMac) I need to manually enable AAC/aptX in Terminal. I only had to do it once on each machine, but out of the box, macOS will use SBC. This was the case for my Sony XB950's, my ADV Model 3's as well as my Bose SoundSports. AirPods will use AAC...- Jeepz

MEE Audio BTX1 Bluetooth MMCX Cable -- Any owners?
Hey y'all! I stumbled across the MEE Audio BTX1 a week back and done research but haven't seen any reviews about these. http://www.meeaudio.com/BTA-BTX1-BK/ Seems like they tick almost all of the boxes: + AAC/aptX support + Great battery life + Good cable management (seemingly, from...- Jeepz

Advanced Sound Model 3 Impressions Thread
Oh, and maybe this will help the manufacturer...the main reasons why I bought the Advanced Model 3: - Included BT cable and AAC/aptX support (I use Apple products so AAC is non-negotiable) - MMCX flexibility - Excellent reviews and HiRes audio badge (I like flashy icons) - 3 year warranty &...- Jeepz

Advanced Sound Model 3 Impressions Thread
I’ve had these for a few days now. My thoughts so far: - Isolation is excellent, especially with the foam tips. Comfort is great too. I can wear them longer than my SoundSports and that says a lot. - Sound quality is pretty darn good. I don’t have a experience with many high-end IEM’s but...- Jeepz

Sony WF-1000X discussion thread: Truly wireless IEM with Active Noise Cancelling!
macOS for some dumb reason has aptX and AAC streaming off by default. You have to enable it in Terminal. https://www.areilly.com/2017/07/29/enabling-aac-and-aptx-over-bluetooth-on-macos/- Jeepz

AirPods
They're just convenient. That's it. I'll use them when I'm listening to podcasts but that's pretty much it. For any task that has any background noise, like working at the office, washing dishes... I'll use another pair of headphones. These have zero isolation. But they're the most pocketable of...- Jeepz
