Cheap IEM's for the gym...
I would avoid the CX300's for the gym unless you are just lifting weights OR have a way to keep the cord still. Microphonics is TERRIBLE on these things...worst I've ever heard!- sonicfox

How to sell my cd collection
Sell them at half.com, or of you really just want to get rid of them fast, try out cashforcds.com. It's a very convenient and easy service...they even send you a postage paid mailer to send them in! I've used them before and found they paid a bit better than my local used cd shop.- sonicfox

See if you are tone deaf with this test!
I got 80.6 correct which is odd because I sing off key a lot. However, I KNOW it when I do and can detect when others do as well. I've always wondered why I can't sing worth **** when I good at detecting off key notes. Is it because I just don't know how to bring my voice to the right notes? Hmmm?- sonicfox

recommendation for female vocals
HA!HA! Well if photos are gonna be an influence, I present to you, Alison Goldfrapp! -
Hey,could you keep my friend and me in your thoughts/prayer/dreams?
I empathize with you, but in all honesty, I'd say the ball is in *her* court. You could try and make demands to communicate with her, but if her parents are as controlling as you say they are, they'll just have you arrested for harrassment if you keep calling her or dare to step foot on their...- sonicfox

Like Electronica? Buy Vitalic's "OK Cowboy" now!
I thought I was the only one who knew of Vitalic. I'm glad there are others out there as well! Great stuff! Personally, I think he's better than Daft Punk...never got into them for some reason. -
recommendation for female vocals
Alison Goldfrapp of the self-titled band, Goldfrapp. I just looove her voice as well as the music. The brilliant album, "Felt Mountain", is where her voice shines...more so than on the later two albums. Check out live clips of "Utopia" on Youtube. -
The "I hate waiting for parcels" thread.
Nothing exciting, but I'm waiting on a new air purifier (a gadget in itself!) because my current one just quit on me. I have really bad allergies and I have to wait until Monday before it arrives. I might die of an asthma attack over the weekend!- sonicfox

Another FX33 Marshmallow Mod?
I have 2 pair of marshmallows, so I tried one of the suggested mods on one of them which was removing the paper filter. Wow...I honestly don't understand how anyone can stand this mod! It brought out the highs alright, but instead of increasing detail, it turned them into a complete harsh...- sonicfox

Help an old guy
You may like Dredg. They are a bit progressive but their style can vary. Maybe start off with the album, "El Cielo", and see what you think. -
Hooked - My story...
I'm still looking for the perfect canal phones that sound great with my mp3 player and that I can also use while running. However, I'm too cheap to spend over $100 on a single pair, yet I've spent well over $100 when combining the costs of several lower priced ones that I own. Common sense...- sonicfox

spooky, eerie soundtrack/musical score recommendations?
The soundtrack to "Suspiria" by Goblin. Pretty creepy!
