M1060 owner here, love the open planar for gaming & voice. I use the on-board mic on my Microsoft webcam...could probably use an upgrade. Dual 2.5mm jacks rule out an in-line mic, curious what you ended up doing?

Best amp I've had, so no complaints on sound. To recent posts - I think it's an unfortunate case of over-promising and under-delivering. Sounds like distributors were left as helpless as the consumers. More transparency from Questyle would have been nice...then again, it could have been...

You need a DAC to use an amp, and vice versa. Are you wanting to integrate other pieces of equipment...like standalone DAC or amp? More info appreciated.

Do you have passive speakers to drive, and what will you be using for a DAC? The Emotiva is intended to be a speaker amp, but happens to have a great headphone jack. Magni 3 is for headphones only, but half the price. I think it comes down to price, application, and...desk space :P

I love my A100, powering a pair of KEF q100s. I recommend it highly; however, my left channel has recently gone out (or very low volume out of it). Anyone have any experience with Emotiva's warranty service?

if you want all tubes, the Darkvoice 336 is often on Massdrop for $199. It's a good, honest, and heavy piece of equipment that does what it's supposed to! I heard the Senns love tubes, but not sure about the 400i.

Both are amazing sources in my world. As the specs would suggest, Jotunheim definitely provides more power but the higher noise floor is my only nit. Hard to say on sound differences...may need to do some A/B switching.

Fedex delivered mine today from Moon. Simple packaging, but the unit is beautiful. Powering single ended MDR-Z7s @ 12:00 and balanced M1060s @ 10:00, standard gain. Also dead silent for me at full tilt, runs cool to the touch. My ears aren't as evolved...but currently comparing to Jotunheim.
