Oh okay that's good to know. Thanks a lot for the info! I would be using my computer, so I guess I should be okay then. I got onboard sound and I also got a cheap soundcard laying around.

Advice for second pair of good open headphones

Sorry if this is a bit less of a smart question, but if I get a magni 3 for instance, do I need to get a DAC along with it straight away or can it wait?

Advice for second pair of good open headphones

Thanks to everyone for all the replies! I appreciate it a lot that you're all putting effort into this :) Hmm alright well I could still look into it then, thanks for letting me know about that! Alright I appreciate the honest info. I will keep the A5 in mind then in case I do want to go the...

Advice for second pair of good open headphones

Yeah from what I've seen the X2 is the more "fun" out of the two. As a newbie I'm not sure what I prefer yet the most. But I think I'm starting to lean more towards the more detailed sound from the AKGs... At first I was leaning the other way but I feel like that was more out of laziness to find...

Oh sorry I probably should have mentioned that I want over-ear headphones :( But I appreciate the effort, thanks anyway!

Advice for second pair of good open headphones

I had seen the Magni 3 before but it's 125eu, but besides that it's also out of stock :/ Monsterzero I tried looking for the headphones you suggested but couldn't find any specific ones. I do have to say comfort is important to me in headphones as I have them on for hours every day.

Advice for second pair of good open headphones

Hey everyone! Thanks for taking the time to read this. Atm I own the Audio-technica ATH-M40x, which I've been happy with since I got them. And I have 1More triple driver IEMS for outside. However I've been thinking about buying some open headphones, that would also be at least a level above the...

Looking for budget IEMs, any suggestions welcome

I've been looking around and I'm more leaning towards the Triple Drivers, just cause they seem like they're worth the extra investment. I also saw that Fiio F5's seem great and have a really good soundstage and they have detachable cables, but I can't seem to find the cables for sale separately...

Thank you so much for your suggestions. Both of these actually look great! I'm gonna check some reviews and stuff and I'm gonna have a good think about how much I wanna spend and which one of these I'm gonna get.

Looking for budget IEMs, any suggestions welcome

Hey everyone! Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I'm looking for budget IEMs, my budget is around 50 euros. I'm willing to go over budget if I find something that'll be worth the investment in the long run. I am honestly tempted to spend more cause since I spent some more money on my...

New guy asking for advice on buying entry level headphones

I ended up ordering the M40x, the Brainwavz angled earpads, and the shorter cable. I'll let you guys know if I like it if anyone's interested. Thanks again everyone for all the advice and info!

New guy asking for advice on buying entry level headphones

I see that the DT 770 32ohm also has a shorter and detachable cable so that's still an option then. I can only find the German Maestro on Amazon.co.uk and when it comes to buying the headphones itself I'd rather buy them at a more local shop incase I have to send it back for repairs or something...

New guy asking for advice on buying entry level headphones

Thanks for the info! It's good to know they work so well for you. I'd personally get the pleather version but I think that would mostly affect the comfort. I had considered the DT770 before but I read that it needs an amp or at least a good soundcard which isn't very handy in my case. They...

New guy asking for advice on buying entry level headphones

Found that I can order a shorter cable and new earpads through amazon.co.uk. I think the best ones in my budget are the Brainwavz angled memory foam earpads. Anyone got any experience with these? Are they worth buying for the M40x?

New guy asking for advice on buying entry level headphones

Checked out the HP151, read it doesn't have great noise cancelling and that they're not great for portable use cause of the long cable and stuff. If anyone has any more info that would be appreciated. Edit: After watching Z review's video I'm leaning towards the M40x paired with a shorter...

New guy asking for advice on buying entry level headphones

Thanks for the info guys. About the M40x, I read that it could break off easier and since that's happened to me before it worried me a bit. But I'll definitely reconsider it. Only other problem is that I'll probably have to get a shorter cable shipped from the US cause I haven't found it at any...

New guy asking for advice on buying entry level headphones

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums and to the audiophile business. I would like to ask for some advice on buying my first entry level headphones. My budget is 100-150 euros. It'll mostly be for casual listening. I'm outside quite a lot so I think closed headphones would be the best for that. I...
