Very interesting. Whatever it's doing it's definitely using resources. My gaming PC that I've turn into a dedicated HQPlayer server is now choking on anything over 44/48k rates at DSD512 for the first time.

This is the first time I'm reading about someone getting the white noise blast with a coax connection. Are you absolutely sure you were only using the coax? If you had USB plugged in at the same time, I believe the mojo will give USB input the priority.

The M3 Pro should be really good. My Macbook Pro M2 Max can do almost everything except sinc-long up to DSD512. I don't usually use sinc-long, so the Macbook Pro actually works great for me. Those new sinc filters are heavily GPU/CUDA dependent, so that's why it struggles with those.

I just looked it up and it's actually an i9-9900k, not i9-11900k. But, it can do config up to DSD512. It can even do DSD1024 for several seconds before any hiccups!

I believe there's a known early run of the A70s that experience this HP DC abnormal message error with difficult loads. You may want to get it exchanged for a more recent build. I have a very early build, but have been lucky to never run into that.

The A70 does run out of steam on some of my music with the CA-1a. It was fine for a lot of the louder tracks, but lacked the volume I needed on some others. I got a Benchmark AHB2 for them and it was like having unlimited headroom with the CA-1a.
