Best Buy/Magnolia has slowly been phasing out V-moda products that they sell. They used to have all colors of M100, Crossfade 2, Crossfade Wireless etc and now they're down to just a couple items.

For me personally it was the combination of the misleading statements about the original CFW followed up immediately by simply not providing any info about the CF2W. If they ever feel like communicating again, I'll maybe reconsider them as a viable option.

I think it is definitely needed. I've gone from being someone that was a fan of the company to the point of recommending them to friends and family in real life, and to strangers online on gaming/movie/headphone forums. Now I do neither. Their support people, as well as Val, read this thread...

If AAC is important to you, don't buy these headphones. It's clearly not important to V-Moda. I will say, though, they sound excellent when paired with an iPhone/iPad/AppleTV4. That's not to excuse V-moda's shameful manner in which they've handled this whole codec situation.
