Anybody have a set up with Esoteric CD players?
Actually, I stupidly connected x-01 to perfectwave mkii DAC by PS audio to compare it with my old marantz universal CD player, but I used its built-in DAC, it sounds so good that I don't think I am listening to a headphone. Seems like Esoteric and PS audio are terrible together.- lfsszd

HE1000V2 level or higher level headphones?
I bought many headphones, but I really don't listen to most of them very often because I keeping using he1000v2 which I feel is a lot better than 1k level headphone. I have heard utopia, ab-1266, and probably LCD 4 are the same level(of price), but are there more headphones to try that might...- lfsszd

I get woo audio made a good joy to drive LCD3. My wa5 works well for it, and I would assume wa33 will do a good job too.- lfsszd

Open back headphone and amp advice
Yes, that's a good plan to begin with. Well, I never connected it to a tube amp. I only connected it to my portable player, but if you like warm sounding, then tube amp would be a good choice for you. Actually, I rarely see amps at 200-300 been well made, so I would generally recommend...- lfsszd

Anybody have a set up with Esoteric CD players?
I just got an esoteric x-01 for my headphone system, but it seems too good for a headphone system. I felt my headphone and amp combo can't handle the signals from the cd player. Has anybody has a good headphone system setup with esoteric digital source would share your setup?- lfsszd

Open back headphone and amp advice
X2HR would be the newer version, but I would assume overall it’s the same headphone with some upgrades. Modi 3 would work with speakers that takes analogue input, but optical converts digital signal, so I would assume it doesn’t work. Also, most speaks below 500 would have build-in Dac and...- lfsszd

Open back headphone and amp advice
I vote for Fidelio X2. It's one of the most comfortable headphones I have ever had. (the other one is HIFIMAN HE1000 V2). Indeed, I will tell you that an amp will significantly improve the sound quality with respect to power and impact. Although this might be out of your current budget to also...- lfsszd

Woo Audio Amp Owner Unite
Hi there! I recently got my wa5. I am using Sylvania 5U4GB tubes with it, but I find people like to use new rectifiers tubes. Have any body compared NOS 5U4Gs and new 5U4Gs?- lfsszd

Rank the Headphones that You Own.
My favorite has to be Hifiman HE1000 V2. HE1000 V2 is really transparent and clear with a fantastic dynamics in musical sense. It is easy to make a headphone with a heavy bass while it is hard to make a headphone could tell the subtle change of volume. Since I got this headphone last week, I...- lfsszd

AKG K812 Pro
Hi guys! I recently purchased a K812 with Hifiman901s as the source, but I felt K812 was somewhere too SHARP. Now I am planning to get a system for K812 to deal with sharpness. Any recommendation of DACs? Thanks!- lfsszd
