Help choosing a new turntable
I could have easily lived with either deck in my system but it was all down to the cash I could liberate by selling one or the other. Oh yeah, and I can play 45's with out taking off the platter and playing with rubber bands. I did not hear a huge difference between the two decks.- rgame666

Help choosing a new turntable
My point of view is also related to the costs of the 2 decks. I had both sat side by side for a month or so listening to both of them. I have a couple of duplicate LP's so could spin both at the same time and flip between inputs on the amp. The Rega was a standard P3 with Super Elys...- rgame666

Help choosing a new turntable
How is the Rega more plug'n'play than the Technics???? How long does it take you to play a 45 RPM record on the Rega? You just press a button on the Technics. The 3 point Rega mounting ONLY works with Rega cartridges which are expensive and not that great IMHO.- rgame666

Help choosing a new turntable
I owned a Rega P3 (not the new P3-24) and then I bought a Technics SL1210 + AT44MLa cartridge just to see what the fuss is about. I just sold the Rega. :-)- rgame666

Which source....
I have been going thru the same CDP dilema and came up with the following:- Krell KAV 300 - amazingly detailed and loads of bass slam when needed...but I think I would have spent all my time trying to figure out if it was 2 guitarist or 3 I was listening to and not enjoying the music. Sony...- rgame666

Just got my X-Can V2 ! G R E A T !
I have just left the Edicrons in the X-Can that Duncan had put in, so i have not compared to the original tubes or any others. All I know is I really like the sound I am hearing and as far as I am concerned that is all that matters. But I am intrigued by the capacitor upgrade...- rgame666

Just got my X-Can V2 ! G R E A T !
Just been listening to my nice new X-Can and X-PSU. The source is currently a Toshiba SD-2200 DVD palyer (soon to be replaced). I have to say ...... I am stunned at the bass you can get in a pair of headphones!!!! The HD-600's sound amazing with DJ Tiesto's Summer Breeze cranked up. The...- rgame666

UK DVD compatibility?
Being English but living in the US I needed to be able to see UK DVD's. The cheapest solution I found was the Daewoo DVD-5800 - $89.99 from Sam's Club. Then head over to this website, burn a CD-ROM, press a few buttons and voila!!! Region free machine and will output PAL or NTSC. Plays all...- rgame666

Why extraterrestrial life likely exists, but I still kinda doubt about God
God killed all the animals thousands of years ago. He made them all wrong, all scaley and big with sharp teeth. There were no cuddly aninmals back then - that sucked. So like a cosmic Etch-o-Sketch, flipped it upside down and shook, and started again. Made man and some cuddly animals...- rgame666
