Huh, I thought they were quite comfortable when I auditioned them. In fact was going to take it except they were out of stock. Probably will go back and get it at some point because of the comfort factor. I guess YMMV really rings true here

Just an update here - auditioned the Nighthawk, EL-8 closed, Focal Elear, and LCD-X and decided on the LCD-X.

Hey thanks! It was a straight DAC / No DAC situation. Was auditioning with Tidal HiFi via an ipad and then through Mojo and also straight out of my Google Pixel phone with no Mojo.   Now comes the inevitable road of DAC comparisons. I guess once you go DAC you never go back. LOL.
