I haven't A/B'd with my Teaks yet but I feel like these have masterfully handled everything I've thrown at them from orchestral (Zelda and Final Fantasy symphonies) to metal (Metallica and A7X so far) and rap (Run the Jewels). Going to be enjoying this holiday break and enjoying them.

About 5 minutes after I started listening with these my first thought was to go list my Teaks for sale. Taking a little break now, given that I've only had a pot of coffee to eat so far today I've got a splitting headache, but I can't wait to delve further into my collection with them.

Delivery pushed back to Friday. Tomorrow is my last day in office for the year. It's going to be a long wait.

Looks like mine will be coming on Thursday. The real question in the meantime is going to be, do I bite on the Elex on Monday as well?

Mine's been showing "processed - waiting to ship" since 11/17. Seems like that's just what it automatically goes to after payment was collected.

I'm just hoping for some kind of actual update today, whether it's a shipping notice or just a firm date next week.

I'm not too worried about buying them blind, I'd be doing that with any cans I get. If not these I'd have jumped on the Adorama LCD2F deal a few weeks ago. The lack of an actual ship date other than "this/next week" is a little frustrating, though.

Curious about the case as well, as I thought Audeze's site plainly said no travel case included.

They gave me the same response ("shipping this week") over Twitter as well, so they've been consistent up to this point at least.

He seemed to have positive impressions, based on the a few mentions regarding the LCD2C's in one of his other recent reviews. I don't think I can remember the last time a 2-3 week wait felt longer than this.

Yeah, I was just exaggerating to make the point. Will be very keen on the first round of impressions when these start hitting.

"This week", according to their Twitter. Of course, I went with ground shipping, so I'll be a few days behind everyone else. Because, you know, $600 for headphones is fine, but that extra $15 for shipping is just robbery. :beyersmile:

Yeah, could be. I'm just super antsy to finally get these. I've spent the better part of the last year on the edge of ordering a set of LCD2's and jumped at the chance when these came up.

From where did you order the cable? I went back through my email, and had received a promotional note from Audeze on 11/22 that these would ship in 2 weeks. That would've been this past Wednesday.

Received another promo email from Audeze regarding these with a note at the bottom that they were shipping in 2 weeks. The wait is killing me.

Well, through the benevolence of my wife, I got my order in last night. Can't wait.

Sigh. Cat broke a tooth last night. Looks like it's going to be a grand after surgery. Guess I'll be waiting to take a dive on some LCD's. Look forward to hearing everyone's impressions.

I just find them, like you said, underwhelming. The slight bit of extra separation/resolution I get (for example, more easily picking out the sounds of fingers sliding down the frets on a guitar) vs the teaks isn't worth losing the teak's bass/low end fullness to me. The 650's instruments sound...

Well, that's the thing, I don't love the 650's, that's why I find myself using the Teaks for about 95% of my listening (which consists primarily of metal, rock, and classical). Hope was that the 660S would be enough of an "improvement" over the 650's to warrant the purchase but it sounds like...

I'm really torn between the LCD2C's or Sennheiser HD660S. Currently have HD650's and EMU Teaks, and 9 times out of 10 find myself reaching for the Teaks.
