NEW XDUOO X serie DAP-X20, X10+ & X3+. XDUOO Are on FIRE!!!
Not sure what you mean by native gapless playback. Very few players support truly gapless playback on MP3 files, and X3ii is one of those. Most players that offer gapless, are truly gapless on FLAC/WAV/AAC etc.- fmdlnt

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
You are right about the fact that the tips are more about isolation. However, I get less detail and better bass response with Comply ear tips (with better isolation). This could also be due to how deep an insertion is possible with different tips.- fmdlnt

I have the ER4SR and used to own the ER4P. The former is more neutral sounding of the two (has a flatter response). The tips that fit my ears best were the stock triple flange, and Comply foam type. The triple-flange delivers better detail, the foam one has better bass. Nowadays I mostly use the...- fmdlnt

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
Does anyone know a good source to buy an MMCX adapter for ER4SR/ER4XR so that all kinds of MMCX cables can be fitted? Lunashops on aliexpress seem to sell cables that have the notched MMCX connector specific to ER4SR/ER4XR, but I am looking for an adapter so that I can use various MMCX cables I...- fmdlnt

NEW XDUOO X serie DAP-X20, X10+ & X3+. XDUOO Are on FIRE!!!
I had the original X3, and recently got the X3II. I highly recommend the X3II considering that you have also dual-boot Rockbox support. One of the best value players out there. I don't know the X20 though.- fmdlnt

NEW XDUOO X serie DAP-X20, X10+ & X3+. XDUOO Are on FIRE!!!
I installed the latest Rockbox on my X3ii. I am unable to fast forward or rewind in a track. The stock Hiby player does this fine. Is there some setting on Rockbox that will enable this? I had the original X3 at one point with Rockbox, and I was able to fast forward just fine on that player.- fmdlnt

NEW XDUOO X serie DAP-X20, X10+ & X3+. XDUOO Are on FIRE!!!
Thanks! I downloaded to my X3ii and liking this interface better than the default. Is this port compatible with the Rockbox port maintained by XVortex? That is, can I dual boot to either Rockbox or this 1.2 "custom" version?- fmdlnt

NEW XDUOO X serie DAP-X20, X10+ & X3+. XDUOO Are on FIRE!!!
Thanks again. I do not plan to add a separate amp to the player. Prefer using the amp section of the player itself to drive IEMs like Etymotic ER4 and MEE Pinnacle P1. Hopefully there will be some good prices during the holiday season on XDuoo models.- fmdlnt

NEW XDUOO X serie DAP-X20, X10+ & X3+. XDUOO Are on FIRE!!!
Thanks for your response. After looking at the XDuoo website again, I realized that X10T and X10TII are DACs only, there is no amp. Since you have experienced X20, how would you describe its sound?- fmdlnt

NEW XDUOO X serie DAP-X20, X10+ & X3+. XDUOO Are on FIRE!!!
I posted this question on a separate thread, but maybe I will have better luck here. What is the difference in sound quality between X10T/X10Tii and X20? I know the sound of the original X3, which I used with Rockbox, and liked it. Thanks in advance.- fmdlnt

Difference in sound between XDuoo X10Tii and X20?
Has anyone been able to compare the sound of these two players? I know the sound of the original X3, and thinking of getting one of its bigger brothers. I am not currently interested in features like streaming or bluetooth etc. Just curious about the sound only. Thanks.- fmdlnt

Equivalent of Comply P-Series ear tips for larger nozzle IEMs?
I have larger than average ear canals. The Comply P-series works great when the IEM nozzle is small. But I am not able to find anything equivalent for T-200 size which fits many dynamic driver IEMs. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.- fmdlnt

Bought a used pair of Etymotic ER4 - how do I know if it is the 4P or 4S?
The earphones came in the original hard case, but no paper work at all. How do I tell if this pair is 4P or 4S? The two ear pieces are color coded (red and blue). Thanks in advance.- fmdlnt
