Hello all, tried searching for an answer to this question and couldn't find anything concrete. Is there any benefit to using a good DAP (A&K/Sony/FiiO) with a portable dac/amp like the Hugo 2 or the idsd bl? I'm assuming the DAP would have better output than my iphone but will it result in more...

Just picked up a stellia and while I do enjoy the detail does anyone know of any ways (maybe a dac/Amp or different pads) to get a nice bass thump going or a more lively sound? I tried hooking it up to a dragonfly cobalt and it took out whatever little bass was left. Any help would be appreciated
