Meze 99 Classics Discussion + Impressions Thread
I use an Astellnkern AK70 with my Meze 99 Neo's. Amazing pairing in my opinion. 'Sparkly neutral' is how I'd describe it. Bass is still there.- Tayyab Pirzada

I should also say they are fairly isolating. Leakage is minimal. Not as much as leather but still adequate for a closed-back headphone.- Tayyab Pirzada

Meze 99 Classics Discussion + Impressions Thread
So I tried my 99 Neos with the Brainwavz Microsuede pads after like half an hour of struggling to figure out how to put them on lol. They are extremely comfortable, even more than the large-size leather pads that came with the Neos I had on before, and don't overheat. The microsuede is extremely...- Tayyab Pirzada

Apparently Brainwavz couldn't ship due to restrictions cuz of Covid from Hong Kong. So I just ordered the regular microsuede ones on Amazon. Might get the gaming pads as well later on.- Tayyab Pirzada

so i think im just going to order both the regular micro-suede and the gel micro-suede oval pads from Brainwavz and try both out. If anything I can just give the pair that I like less to my brother to use on his Sennheiser Momentum 2.0's...- Tayyab Pirzada

Meze 99 Classics Discussion + Impressions Thread
After reading a lot of reviews, I think I've settled on buying Brainwavz Microsuede pads for my Meze 99 Neos to reduce the bass bloat a bit while keeping it isolated still but more comfortable than pleather. But I notice they have a "cooling gel" Microsuede pad as well. Should I go for these or...- Tayyab Pirzada

Earbuds Round-Up
I just have to say, even after years of tying headphones, the Rose Mojitos stand at the absolute top of the mountain for me. And I'm comparing them even to full-size cans. I haven't heard something as good as them in that market. They have a slightly U shaped sound signature with slightly...- Tayyab Pirzada

Sennheiser HD700 vs. Aeon X?
So I've been looking for a pair of open-back headphones with good soundstage, ok sub-bass extension, great imaging, and above all - comfort to allow for multi-hour listening. Also, I listen to mainly the following genres: R&B, rap/hip-hop, pop, EDM, jazz, and (sometimes) orchestral scores. I've...- Tayyab Pirzada

Anyone know of full size cans that have the lush, velvety mids of VE Zen 2.0's? Meze 99's seem to be the only ones I've found like that so far.- Tayyab Pirzada

Your favorite sub-$1,000 closed-back headphones?
I'm having trouble deciding between the following 3 for closed-back headphones under $1,000: - Audioquest NightOwl - Meze 99 Classic/Neo - Sony MDR-1A I tried the Meze 99 Classics and Neos in store and they both sounded incredible to my ears, and I even preferred them to more expensive cans...- Tayyab Pirzada
