Thanks for the feedback everyone. My favorite cans are the OG Utopias, so it sounds like I may be better off finding the extra coin for the A12t as the descriptions of their sound signature appears to be closer to my preference than the A6t.

Considering the A6t, but am wondering whether I should hold out for the A12t. Anyone done a direct comparison of the two?

Running the Lazuli Reference with 2022's (coming from the OG Utopia) and I still think they sound fantastic together. I don't think I can justify upgrading the cable given how great the pairing sounds as is.

Too small for my big head…apparently Focal made the headband reach shorter than the OG Utopias. Worn for less than a minute, these are as new with no real use. Purchased brand new from authorized dealer. Ships double boxed with all original items. Check Audiogon and USAudiomart for feedback...

Has anyone here done a side by side comparison of the Lazuli Reference and Reference Plus cables on their 2022's?

My experience has been simply this--I listen at reasonable levels to all sorts of music and have never had an issue with clipping. My Utopias are 2016 vintage.

As a very happy OG owner for the past four years, I'd say yes. Don't let the hype make you believe that the OG is any less awesome just because Focal tweaked some things in the latest version. Either would be a winning choice for me, but if I could get the OG at half the price of the 2022...

Running the Utopias from the Naim Uniti Atom--it's a solid pairing. I might be able to get better sound by going with separates, but I won't get the simplicity afforded by the all-in-one. Sometimes really good is better than perfect.

Ended up ordering the Reference version and will report back after I've had some time with them.

Did it do anything to the upper frequencies? I like the “bright” personality of the Utopias and don’t want to lose that.

Anyone with a large head using the Expanse? I wear an XL/XXL ball cap, so I generally need a pretty good bit of adjustment to get ear cups down low enough to cover my ears. As a point of reference, the Focal Utopias fit me well.

Can you offer any perspective on ear cup size. I have fairly tall ears, so smaller cupped headphones don't work for me. As a point of comparison, the Focal Utopias are a good fit for me.
