At one point when I had my he6 , I had a first watt j2 which I bought first, then I found a f1 that was converted to f1j and got that one . It was no contest between the two the f1j vastly superior for the he6.

The best one for the he6 was the first watt f1j but they are very rare

I owned this f1j with a he6 , the sound is so full and different and it has slam in there.

And the nelson pass F1j is 10 watts per chennel and is the best amp for a long while to drive the he6

I have the op627 on one build and sparkosnon another , it's sound better with the opa 627

Yes. I use a smsl vmv d1se2 dac balanced to the smsl ao200, sounds great

I tried it but I prefer the smsl ao200 as it has the more convenient connection for.me the xlr

i ended up buying the d1se2 , i also have the ares 2 - im all set between dacs.im loving it - some songs and genre do well with the ares and some on the d1se2 .

finally i was able to snag an ares 2 for $535 . i flashed it to the newer firmware and used it for 36 hours bt i like the older one better so i re flashed it back im loving this dac . this and the smsl vmv d1se2 dac combo covers everything for me

i was able to play around with the d1se for a week , i like the dac and i wonder how this d1se 2 compare to the sound signature of the first one .
