Bored of my HD-595s - looking for an upgrade
Right now, I'm having more fun listening to music with my IE7 IEMs then the HD-595. Not sure if it's just the difference in using an IEM vs. a full size headphone, but perhaps I need to try something new. My source is a Claro Halo soundcard that should be able to drive most headphones I...- Slides

Is there a music creation forum out there?
I don't see one at head-fi, but is there one of similar quality like head-fi where one can discuss musical instruments, MIDI controllers, software etc.?- Slides

Upgrading from Audigy 2ZS: completely confused
I'm building a new computer and feel like it's time to get a new sound card as well. The Audigy has served me well, ASIO bitstreaming in foobar and seemingly good in games as well. Since I game and play music through my unamped HD595 phones, I am somewhat confused over what upgrade to and...- Slides

Can you damage earphones with sudden loud music?
I had my IE7s with my zune set on full volume by accident, scared the **** out of me. Now I'm afraid my IE7s may be damaged as they sound different. Or maybe I damaged my ear drums, lol- Slides

Best IEM that doesn't need an amp?
I currently have a crossroads mylar x3, and it's time that I upgrade to something a bit better. It will be driven by a zune, and I don't want an amp. I don't even know where to begin here. I like the mylar 3's sound isolation and comfort. Comfort is very important to me and I can sacrifice...- Slides

IS it wrong that I really like the original ipod shuffle earbuds?
I love their treble, even though the mids and especially bass is lacking, but they are fun to listen to especially any type of music that emphasizes highs (classical etc.). I have the HD595, mylar X3, but for treble I still prefer the shuffle earbuds. Is something wrong with my ears?- Slides

First time with IEMs: My ears hurt! :(
Just got the Crossroads Mylar and love the sound and these are my first IEMs. I insert them only enough to get the vacuum, but after a half hour of listening by ears hurt. In fact my left ear is still hurting even though I took out the earphones some 3 hours ago. The right ear is not doing that...- Slides

IEM's for under $150?
I've never used IEMs before, but thinking of one for my Sansa mp3 player. They will be unamped and I want ones that have good bass and are fun to listen while still being fairly faithful to the original music. And I don't want to trade clarity and detail for bass, just that I don't want weak...- Slides
