Astell & Kern KANN - DAP with Massive Storage & Battery
Full. I wish they'd offer the micro. For those of us that are going to eventually need the "full" 512gb card. Or just forget the 256gb card all together and drop the price 100.00 to 150.00- BarDash

Astell & Kern KANN - DAP with Massive Storage & Battery
Don't remember saying that friend. But for me anyway I have over 500gbs of music and the 256gb card will very soon need to be replaced. Just sayin if there was a second option with the 512gb card I'd buy in.- BarDash

Astell & Kern KANN - DAP with Massive Storage & Battery
If they had an option for say 100.00 more and skip the 256gb card and instead package a 512gb card... It'd probably be a no-brainer for me.- BarDash

The Astell & Kern AK240
I've been definitely using Head-Fi as a resource and appreciate your input. One of the nice things I already appreciate about the 240 is it's onboard storage plus msd storage. I currently own an opus 1 which I've had since its release and it's a fine player but I'm looking for an "upgrade in...- BarDash

The Astell & Kern AK240
I haven't seen very many DAPs at this price range and am willing to purchase this DAP but what concerns me most is that this DAP is about 3 years old and some upcoming players like the Fiio5iii have similar specs as the AK380 and seemingly have a nice build quality as well for a fraction of the...- BarDash

Prefer to go new, and the cheapest I've seen (new) on Amazon is 2200.00. Although I do realize Massdrop can take weeks from past purchases. I have a week to decide...- BarDash

Sennheiser HD800S Unveiled!
Probably a good choice not picking up the C', I mainly use the LCD 3's & HD800S. My C's have been collecting dust as of late. And I'd put them up for sale but I'm not exactly sure how to do so. I also had a bad experience selling on eBay so I've been reluctant to sell any expensive items online.- BarDash

Sennheiser HD800S Unveiled!
I got the Wywires platinum (above your budget) but IMO they pair excellent with the HD800S. I emailed the owner and he gave me 30% off... Maybe you could get a deal with the Wywires Red?- BarDash

thebit Opus#1 DAP from South Korea
I've owned this DAP since its release and have used it plenty of times with HD700's using the balanced input. I think the pairing is excellent and am very happy with the SQ.- BarDash

schiit yggdrasil for one and just about every DAC I've heard is better than the iPhone! Perhaps it's cheaper to just let her use her iPhone or get her some ear wax remover and try and see if she than notices a difference.- BarDash

ifI iCan Pro - Impressions & Discussion
Welcome! I own the IFI Pro iCan as well as the HD800S, LCD3 and can say that it drives them well. On occasion with a very Hi Res file with the LCD's playing particularly loud I've had to switch the gain on. But in "normal" conditions I don't need to even use the gain.- BarDash

ifI iCan Pro - Impressions & Discussion
To me it sounds better warmed up so I leave it running continuously. However IMO it only took a couple of hours before the sound got to where I thought it was at its best. Mine does not run hot at all, in fact mildly warm so I never shut it off unless I'm going to be away for a few days. The...- BarDash
