Sennheiser HD 6,7 & 8 DJ thread. Opinions, reviews, feedback, pics, discussions, etc.
Exactly the same issue for me with the velour pads. Fortunately I'm still under warranty so I ordered a replacement pair. You could try sewing them together. It should work fine seeing how it's just cloth anyways.- Krantor

New Sennheiser Momentum In ear
I've been doing a bit of research on this, and all I can say is who knows. I bought a pair a couple days ago, box is clearly labeled simply as Momentum In-Ear but the QR authenticity page says they're Momentum 2 In-Ear. Even the official Sennheiser page doesn't seem to make a distinction between...- Krantor

FiiO's new Q1 portable DAC-amp: Let's drink to "Happy Listening"!
Depends on what you want it to do. If you want to use it as an amp, you only need a 3,5mm to 3,5mm cable (you should already have this, as it comes with the Q1) If you want to use it as a DAC+amp combo you need a lighting to micro USB cable. As far as I know the audio chips on Apple devices are...- Krantor

Sennheiser HD 6,7 & 8 DJ thread. Opinions, reviews, feedback, pics, discussions, etc.
Seems like a toss up with the squeaking. Maybe they fixed it in later production batches, especially now that the HD 7 DJ are discontinued, but still feels like a risky investment given the price. You can look earlier in the thread and users with the HD 8 also report the squeaking.- Krantor

Sennheiser HD 6,7 & 8 DJ thread. Opinions, reviews, feedback, pics, discussions, etc.
Definitely the M100 over the HD lineup. Own the HD 7 DJ, and judging by build quality alone, I wouldn't recommend them. They squeak a lot, which puts into question the build quality and even makes me not want to fold them over fear the hinges will snap or stop working. I heard the HD 8 suffer...- Krantor

Yeah, says so on the box, but I'm wondering if being discontinued has any effects on this- Krantor

FiiO's new Q1 portable DAC-amp: Let's drink to "Happy Listening"!
Is there any advantage or sound variation when pairing the X3ii with the Q1? Seems like listening from the Q1 would be a downgrade from the regular X3 judging entirely from the specs.- Krantor

Sennheiser HD 6,7 & 8 DJ thread. Opinions, reviews, feedback, pics, discussions, etc.
Mine happens on both earcups. The sound is coming from the hinges with the blue dot. The squeaking stops when I blow a little on the blue dot, so it seems like a lubrication issue perhaps? it goes away but comes back soon anyways.- Krantor

Anyone got a DIY fix for the squeaking sound? my HD 7 DJ squeak when moving the earcups horizontally. It's a shame none of the reviews mentioned this issue, as it would have been a deal breaker for me. Can anyone confirm that the problem gets worse overtime? should I be concerned?- Krantor
