non-warranty repair suggestion for focal headphones no sound on left right is fine
Hi, it seems a somewhat common issue with focal headphones but all of sudden no sound from left headphone. I checked to make sure its not the cable nor the source. This is not under warranty and I checked that replacing the drivers cost like $500. anyone know of someone who is adept at...- karmapolice

the tt2 is set to dbnc the input on the chord mscaler is a bit confusing as I understand the instructions since why is there a pink auto mode and a dbnc mode .....I guess I am safe on the pink mode although technically if using the tt2 it should be in blue mode (as my optical cable is in the...- karmapolice

I recently began using the mscaler with the TT2 dual bnc and feed it via blue jean optical cable to my oppo transport. The input on my mscaler is set to pink automatic mode. what I dont get is I dont seem to be able to get it to input to dual bnc only mode. to optimize dbnc I can set to...- karmapolice

you either hear it or you dont...if you dont great you save money. for those like myself that do hear it the change may be worthwhile. I upgraded to the blue jeans toslink ($20 shipped) and preferred it. I have no need to try higher. On the other hand in my other system I had a modest...- karmapolice

ok just want to confirm something as new to hms with tt2. If I use a dual bnc with tt2/hms combo when input is optical from oppo acting as a transport. if you are playing a cd file on the oppo which acts as only a transport than the 44.1 file goes to the tt2/mscaler and can it be upscale to...- karmapolice

I would not bother with the Topping but they love the topping there and find any dac over $500 to be hilariously stupid so I think you should proselytize there and preach brother the Chord Dave Gospel to those heathens- karmapolice

sure you can get a used Dave for half price for 7K even but you can also get a TT2 used for under 4K so the spread is still at least 3K. do people agree that the biggest benefit is to 44.1 files? I assume the benefit is roughly the same whether the file is 16/44.1 or 24/44.1. Obviously I have a lot of cd but I also listen to a lot of 24/96 files. Do people who use both the HMS and TT2 or Dave find benefit noticable there too?- karmapolice
