I'd like to keep it no higher than $100

In the last 2 months I have put my Sansa Clip+ and Fiio M3 in the washing machine and my 2nd Xduoo X2 went ahead and died on me so i need a new player. I can try and find one of these again on ebay/amazon but i am wondering if there is anything new in the small dap market I should take a look...

I think if you put songs right on the player it will sort them by tags but its not all files, its around 4,000. I use a micro sd card and I keep everything sorted in folders. The UI on the M3 is better than the one on the X2 but is still behind the one on the Sansa Clip+

My laptop also sounds way better than the X2, but I paid $1,500 for my laptop and $35 for the X2 and I cant carry my laptop around in my coat pocket :)

I use the folder view to get around this lack of m3u. Made a separate folder named playlist and I export the music in my playlists to new folders and add them to the playlist folder. and then you can just play them like there was a m3u. Not perfect but for me it works

I would say that depends on how you have your music organized. If you have a lot of folders and sub-folders you might want to go with the smaller card. The UI is folder based not song/artist/album/genre like most players are set up.   I'm using am 8 gig card right now  and that has 900ish...
