Proline 750 MOD [adding pics as i progress]
Cool, yeah I am not in any rush. I would be interested to know the effects of your mods. There are so many options to experiment with, between covering/uncovering different holes, using different ear pads, and cabling.- StanleyBuchanan

Will X-Rays hurt my DAP?
Actually a lot of people report a loss of battery life from repeat exposure to x-rays... don't know what the true cause is, though. I'm talking about airport employees who are going through security multiple times each day, though.- StanleyBuchanan

SA5000 vs Proline 750
Well another 20 hours or so of burn in and I'm starting to open up to the 750 a little more, they definitely have a more detailed low end right now that is very pleasing for string instruments (in comparison to the SA5k) but vocals are still lacking. I've also experimented with different...- StanleyBuchanan

SA5000 vs Proline 750
A few caveats... SA5000 are broken in and recabled (black dragon) Proline 750 has about 20 hours on it. I have very limited headphone experience and may not be describing my impressions properly. SA5000 seem much more detailed, much more open with greater fullness, much more...- StanleyBuchanan

SoundCards! Need help from people who care about sound...
T.B.N. I'm told this will work to connect the internal drive http://www.computercablesource.com/detail.aspx?ID=347 Might be easier to route... As for the quality of the drive, well I have had the opamps replaced (yes it has its own) but there is a noticeable difference in sound...- StanleyBuchanan

Audiofile X-Fi by Auzentech
This is promising for future driver support from Creative as well... Oh Gunblade, I have the audio bay on my X-fi, modded (by cotdt) both the card and the bay. The bay definitely degrades sound quality, but yes for convenience it is great! I bring my rig to lanparties and the less gear I...- StanleyBuchanan

If you had to pay the paypal fee you got scammed. It's illegal for the seller to charge that to you. I will never buy from someone who advertises that they charge you the fee for using paypal, and I will always report it to paypal.- StanleyBuchanan

X-Fi sound bugs? I think I have a solution.

New Bose in ear ear phone (Great!)
They're warm, veiled, and lacking in the high end... I've got about 48 hours on mine now and the sound has improved... I would say they are very pleasing, not exciting but also not fatiguing... the bass is quite good, not overwhelming. They respond very well to EQing.- StanleyBuchanan
